🐾Update 1.6 and Africa Pack Out Now! 🐾

Good morning everyone!

It's so wonderful to see everyone enjoying Update 1.6 and the Africa Pack ❤️

Thanks for everyone in this thread who flagged the free bits that are tagged as Africa Pack, we're going to get that sorted out :)
Hopefully the bugs will also be fixed like animals escaping like crazy even with the new no escape option, and the minor spelling error on educational speakers that now says nge instead of range

Also animals getting boxed up for no reason and stay boxed up

I did notice one annoying bug my warthogs kept jumping their rock formations and jumping on the buildings next to their enclosure. While comical it wasn’t doing that before the update. I understand tho this kind of thing happens after a big update but hopefully it can be resolved soon.
All of my flamingos were escaping even though the fence was above the height requirement. I had to make them quite a bit taller for it to stop. One of my otters escaped too and I had no idea how. There weren't any escape points showing.

I really love the Africa Pack and update 1.6, thank you Frontier!
I haven't used that much yet but it looks great. And oh my god, the digging animations of the meerkats are so cool!
I've also got the problem of animals escaping (only a few flamingos though), other than that I didn't have any other bugs yet.

Has anyone been successful in getting their African penguins to dive? I updated my pool depth to 4.67 and they still rarely will. A colony of 20 individuals and I've only seen one dive once. Might be a bug?

My African penguins dive fine, I have a colony of 24 and they all spend most of their time underwater. They've got a very spacious pool that's about 6 metres deep I think (haven't measured it precisely). Wish I could help more with your issue, but that's all I can provide.

I guess I'll just have to keep messing with it, but an official answer on what their diving depth requirements are would be very helpful. At over 4.5m, I feel like I shouldn't be having this issue

Also, I've definitely noticed way more stuttering, freezing and crashes. First time this has happened to me after a major update, which I'm assuming is the cause.

I thought it was just me with freezing, stuttering and crashes. Specially the freezing happens a lot, its even worse when it autosaves now it freezes for about 1 minute.

How long are they in the Zoo already? I have a similar Problem with my Polar Bear but I was told that it should dive properly after some Time. Maybe you'll just need to wait some Time

I don't know, like an hour or so? I play on pause a lot but I left it running for a while

I certainly can! Hi there 👋

Our team used the EAZA guidelines to decide what species were suitable enrichment species for the White Rhinoceros. While Warthogs were not included, you can still put them in an enclosure together, they just won't specifically enrich each other. Hope that helps!

In Tulsa Zoo, Southern White Rhinoceroses and Common Warthogs can live together. I hope they enrich each other in Planet Zoo as there is a real life example found in a zoo.

I’ve had limited diving(not as common as one might think for penguins), but my penguins are getting stuck in the water. When they dive, they cannot move anymore and simply flap in place with no momentum.

Same happens for my foxes in the water. Poor little guys get stuck paddling. It’s adorable, but they’ll die if I don’t move them all out of the water.

There is a Polar Bear Bug that I've already experienced 2 times since the Update. It can happen that Polar Bears stay in one Place and are just twitching while trying to move. Moving them to another Place in the Enclosure won't solve it but moving them to the Quarantine (most likely also Trade Center) will fix it
