Update 11 Patch Notes

Commenting performance: played now few hours "onfoot" content and game performance in space, near planets and on surface was absolutely smooth for my gaming PC and 1080p monitor (details in siggy). All game graphic seetings are on max and upscaling is off - normal setting. For me works Update 11 practically perfect so far.
 
Not sure if I need to clear some kind of "cache" or adjut settings; but just logged into Odyssey Update 11 for the first time and was landing on a planet and it was horribly grainy looking. Anyone clue why that is so? Everything looked good yesterday, and most my settings are maxed out.
turn off Checkerboard rendering if your GPU can handle it

Check that it hasn't changed those settings while you weren't looking. The last couple of patches - major patches, not the bugfixes - have downsized the resolution and switched on the damn upscaling despite me not wanting it. Heaven knows what else can happen if you don't keep a close eye on it.
 
The thing about rich folk is …

They get to do whatever they want?
avoid the pain of having to choose between eating and not being homeless?
Get to experience actual space flight?
Are not prisoners of circumstance?
Live generally healthier lives due to less work related stress and better food options and just generally being happier?
are protected by a bubble of other rich folk?
create situations that lead to them remaining rich and getting richer each generation?

I'm sure there are more. Not entirely sure how this game works.

I was actually thinking of they stay rich because they avoid paying for things and very much like getting things for free …
 
After watching inside obsidian ants Oddysey fleet carrier tour I was thinking it'd be nice to install a bar area in my fleet carrier even though I'm on console! 😋 If I had Oddysey that'd be the only new optional service I'd install.
 
Just to clarify this as I'm not sure I read this correctly but -

does this mean if an FC doesn't have the shipyard installed, one can't access the FC concourse at all? Please tell me I'm wrong on this one.
Late reply, but it just means that there is a vendor room FOR the shipyard. If it's not installed, only that room is closed down.

Some feedback here FYR...

(1 to 3) When module deactivated, just disable function on dialogue / UI level, do not close the shutter doors.

1. Bar should be always open, in the same position of FC trading system. Not every cmdr doing trading that much but every cmdr wants a free recreation place to rest and relax. It is better charging per trade basis instead of taking a fixed weekly upkeep.

1.5 In fact current bartender dialogue is broken, it's a disabled regular station bartender interface. We really dont need to link the trading feature to the bar open/close. Simply link the trading feature in bartender dialogue and charge per deal is a better idea. Just look at all these ppl in the bar, relaxing, chatting, drinking there. It is ridiculous they all suddenly get disappeared just because the owner want suspend the trading feature.

2. Ship administration room should be open by default and should NOT related to the status of shipyard option module.
Owners should not need to install shipyard to manage their own ships. When there is no shipyard installed, guest cmdrs can be blocked by ship console UI.

3. On the other hand, can consider merge Vista Genomics function with Universal Cartographics? In this way many DSSA FCs will not be required to travel back and redock.
Just slightly increase upkeep for all EDO players.

4. Crew member portrait (and model) seems to be very limited, can consider adding more variation later?

5. The display arm on the owner chair looks cool but does not provide carrier management interface.

6. BUG: Cannot disembark after switching ship in cockpit mode. Relog without exiting client cannot recover.
6.1 BUG: switching shipyard on in FC interior -> back to ship -> Cannot disembark even after restart client. [HELP! I get stuck in cockpit, cannot get out at all even after restart game]

7. BUG: Still, cannot switch to FC default layout (remove "shipkits") in FC livery interface.

I may have missed heard the information but I thought the additional carrier services for odyssey Bar, vista and pioneer supplies were done differently as in they rent off you so we wouldn't have to pay more startup costs and upkeep?
 
@Bruce G , is this also true for Horizon CMDRs that have the normal shipyard since it is linked with the on-foot counterpart? In this case, would odyssey playe byr be able to access the ship from the interior?
This, and pub should both be horizon features because Odyssey commanders can still disembark on board my fleet carrier? Correct? If not why am I keeping my fleet carrier..
 
Possibly, but at the time they announced that policy no one had the now current generation consoles as they were the next generation ones, so everyone on console and running the game used the the then current now previous generation gear.
But if there was going to be a future for consoles, that was the time Frontier needed plans for the future of consoles.
 
Tried all and everything to be able to disembark. Only managed to do it once. When I went back to my ship, never again. Can't access livery. Already changed things in the project, the services, relogged alot and nothing. Went to other FCs and could disembark normally, only on my own I can't do that. Got no idea what could be causing it.
