I play Elite because I enjoy the flight model (though even that has gotten worse in EDO vs EDH)

Agreed with everything, but how has the flight model gotten worse in EDO? Care to elaborate?

Hint: Cutter.
Its laterals/verticals feel weaker in EDO compared with EDH. Even the autodock struggles to land the cutter (most obvious while landing on Carriers/Megaships)
I haven't done any comparative testing, but i'm tempted to - if i ever find enough time

The autodock even struggles to land a Dolphin on a carrier from time to time.

I rarely fly the Dolphin lately.
But i do fly the Cutter a lot and my AXI Cutter (with no ADC) is becoming a pain to land at the AXI megaship.

And the ADC, more often than not, is overshooting the Pads when landing at the carrier - it's really awkward to see it
Initially i put it on FDev for borking the ADC landing routines, but when i noticed that meself i'm struggling to land the Cutter at a megaship...

People have reported that ships handle slightly differently in EDO.

I can't really say myself, because I've been using mostly different ships in EDO than I did in EDH.

Since the landing pad example is coming up a lot now, I always felt like Engineering only/mainly improved the force of forward thrusters which made braking more difficult.

It's hard to describe, and it's subtle, but thrusters seem to be weaker somehow.

At first I thought it's input lag, but others have noticed it also and EDO performs ok (read: mostly hit 60fps with stuttery interludes). I used to be able to accurately slap a Cobra 3 without much slowing down onto the landing pad, now I constantly overshoot. It's more noticeable with smaller ships.

When I play Horizons (and it's been a while now, I still need to patch it) ships feel "tighter", "snappy", "lively", "more direct", if you know what I mean.

In EDO, flying feels less engaging and more like a chore, while I can't get enough flying even an E-rated Sidewinder around a space station. I should really give Horizons a go again to see if this still holds true or not.

For those experiencing overshoot, etc. while landing (most likely on an FC or a platform, disable Auto Rotation on the right hand Ship panel. This helps a lot.
I now have it assigned to a toggle on my throttle so I can quickly enable / disable.
It's a work around, but at least it helps for now. Remember to enable it before trying to land in a large rotating station!

I do have a vague memory of one of the recent Updates mentioning "fixing" the Cutters bumping the mailslot on the way out.
Well, it's definitely not fixed - Recent series of CG had my Cutter putting a lot of dents in the section above the mailslot

Oh please... let this engineer be aware of how stupid exo biology currently is as a role and let all of the engineering effects just be ways to pass the time differently while staring at a fixed object. One can be that using it plays music, One could be that it alters the beam to make various shapes (like inserts you can use with a laser pointer. One could be that the bio sampler vibrates (no further explanation given as to why). etc.

It's an interesting thought, the seating in FC's is required due to all players being stationary for the jump, that's not necessary of course in stationary...em...stations, but maybe this will be proof of the tech at least and maybe if not now sometime time the future it will come to all concourses.
