To keep it really exciting, I think you should have not posted anything till 3 days after the update released. Tomorrow, we'd all be posting asking where the patch is. If the patch released Thursday, people would get the patch and see the accompanying update notes post. Then Monday, we'd see this post...about the patch being moved a few days and minds would be blown, but all true words.
Thats a bummer, however I am still very excited to see whats in this update. Any chance of posting the patch notes a few days early? ;-)
