Update 14 performance. Good? Bad? ..........Better.

I am done playing 3.8 now. No use playing 4.0 so all that left is Odyssey.
My experiance so far with the update is that my GPU got a kick seems to perform better, my CPU on the other hand took a hit, running 75ish fps now rather than the 90 it usually does.
I have pretty beast of a rig too 12900k that runs 5.4 in games, 2x 3090's 1 dedicated to physix, M.2 drives in Raid0. DDR 6400 30-37-37-39-76 T1 timings. Reverb G2 headset.
What's your experiance with update 14? I played for a few hrs last night, did a CZ where there was a bunch of us in it and it was playable 45fps lows.

Yeah, mix of settings; mainly mid to high and U14 is running great. Could it be better? Sure, but I never perceived low frame rates often in contrast to the same settings and PC hardware with older patches. First time in open too for me (I have solo'd a Thargoid ... once), but usually rely on NPC's to help even the odds. Networking seemed a little wonky with longer than usual Hyperspace jumps, and often trying to leave a cz took a while but it was awesome to play in a group even if it seemed some of the enemy spawns were bugged. With the performance boost, the invasion and help from a recent purchase of a Kuject USB Quest 2 charging cable*, I started playing just before 9 this morning, and thought about getting lunch at nearly 5pm! oops ...

Great stuff. For me personally, U14 is overall running the best experience of the game since I started playing back in the beginning of the year. And I'm not a big combat pilot either.

*Charges via the included Oculus/Meta charger but allows a proper USB3 data link via a 5m cable - Dropped from 100 to 86% after about an hour and stayed there the entire session.

I’m currently on an i9900ks 2080Ti 32Gb DDR4 3600 using a G2.

I certainly perceive an improvement but haven’t actually tested anything - far too busy rescuing people from an imminent caustic soaking.

I had planned to replace my current PC in the new year but have decided to hold off for a bit so any boost to performance whether perceived or real is a welcome bonus.

There is a new Nvidia driver today. After loading I will be out fighting the good fight in HIP 23716 parked at Wakata
I am a experienced AX pilot. I will be in a EH CZ
Any1 that wants to team up.
