Postponed. Expected. A reputation is a hard thing to break.

Imagine having some pride in actually doing what you said. You know, integrity? Imagine having a real, achievable plan, and inspiring the team to finish ahead of schedule. Gone are those days in today’s businesses. Stating a simple reason for moving a date seems to be all that they think is needed to make it all ok. A mature company would analyze why they are consistently late and having to make excuses. The real problem couldn’t be leadership, now, could it? Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Yeah, I'm not too disappointed about this overhaul not being part of U15, we had no information whatsoever about it so, hard to get hyped / excited about it.
What's bothering me a little is that it's not "postponed", they straight up have no idea about what they want to overhaul, which, for something announced almost a year prior is a bit strange.

In a couple of seconds, I can think of Powerplay, Engineering and BGS to some extend that could really use some attention but of course, they need to investigate what's feasible etc... But still... So long just to know what to rework...

At this point I’m certain it’s nothing and it never really was anything. Just something else to string people along and keep ED somewhat on players’ minds hoping that something new and exciting will eventually arrive. Meanwhile, keep spending those ARX!

Plans always change when it comes to Frontier.

Just to note, U16 wasn't mentioned at all so is it now fair to expect it won't be coming later in the year?

Pride has nothing to do with it... anyway, i imagine you never broke something you said/promised/whatever. No, actually i can't

Other than that - it's pretty clear they should never ever announce anything in advance.

Lads, you need to stop with the vague smoke and mirrors stuff. We as a playerbase fully accept that things happen, dates shift and all that.

But the whole "we can't give you ANY information about the future coz spoilers, more info in due time!" position is getting old. I understand not wanting to ruin the surprise, but there's absolutely nothing stopping some actual information being released that doesn't create a massive spoiler. All that's happening instead is creating speculation and assumptions which have invariably been leading to disappointment.

I mean, we've been asking for years for better and clearer communication. But while we all certainly appreciate that the amount of communication and engagement has certainly gone up, the content of that information still invariably boils down to Soon™.

I like how we were told last year about major feature rework coming early this year and now we are told that at the end of this year we might be informed about their thoughts on the subject and possible future plans.
It's like reading about Star Citizen release date 😂
