Anyone else having freezing far more often after this update? I'm on Xbox. In a half hour of playing, I've already had two freeze-ups. Not a total lock, but the fun "bzzzt" that kicks you to the dashboard. Previously, these were few & far between. The first happened while flying away from a station, the next a few minutes later while looking at a mission board. Hopefully the frequency was a coincidence, but it sure seemed odd that the issues have increased with the latest update, at least apparently.
 
Wing missions still do not pay out enough to provide sufficient incentive to do them. Example: In system Bhotho, allied with 6/7 factions. I'm seeing ONE wing mission out of all of them in my list. 5800 units for 8mil. Ok... not bad if you have a full wing of people with large ships, fully cargoed Type 7 at a minimum.

The delivery site is a 160k ls from its star.

Every other wing mission doesn't pay out nearly enough to justify the time it would take for delivery. I understand you all have to strike a balance, and you want all money making ventures to roughly equal. I also understand that wing missions are supposed to encourage people to wing up. These delivery and industry need missions would outrageously miss that mark.

I agree 1000% here.

Why would anyone in their right mind chose 5500-6000 tonnes over 250ly range for 8-11 million credits when they can instead haul 120-150 tonnes solo for 1-3 million one jump/7-8ly? Answer: Nobody in their right mind would.

Wing missions in 3.0 were "OK" - still borderline, then from 3.0.3+ they have become another useless, ludicrous time sink for only the dopiest of players that would their head examined to even THINK about partaking in.

When WING missions have less rewards per hour than even simple trading, it makes the playerbase wonder what the devs must be smoking. Cargo-based wing missions were a welcome addition in 3.0- not great, but arguably somewhat worth taking if you were bored and lazy. They have now sunk into more useless banter on the mission boards that the player base with even a modicum of experience will avoid with a chuckle for any poor sap that might actually TAKE one of these terrible missions with risk vs. reward, and time vs. reward being ludicrous if not outright ridiculous.

I can only HOPE these dopey missions are there to make people reconsider CGs? I mean, if the end result is "I can spend HOURS running dozens of jumps against constant interdictions by engineered foes --OR-- I can make the same rewards running simple cargo for CG's for 10x the rewards and 1/10th the time... Hmmmmmm..." There are better ways to get CG participation if this is the angle. Mission boards shouldn't be a device to make people scoff and laugh so much that they consider CGs....

Is it possible to make a delivery wing mission near the system ? Which asking for an escort ?

It can be useful for smaller wing who don't own all a big cutter

Why, what's at SYNUEFE VM-D C15-10 2 A? Is this some mat farm or money machine Yamiks hasn't made a video about yet?

Some amazing terrain features at least, canyons everywhere 18km deep, huge cliffs, very unusual terrain, possibly more as still searching

That everything you wanted fixed isn’t fixed right now? Just fixed for you or the thousands of other Cmdrs who play also? I don’t recall FDev saying they were all done with ED.
God this place is depressing.
I remember the forums being a lot more of a chipper place a mere year ago...but, yeah...it certainly is depressing. You've got people all but quitting the game because the Discovery scanner isn't working right at the moment, people cheesed off because bugs they thought were more important didn't get fixed...gods, this place is starting to remind me of the Changelog forum over on Keen Software House's site...
 
Ok so just a few more minor bug fixes. Is their any plan to fix the major bugs or at least some of them before the next update. Like their has been no local news in systems or faction news since the 3.0 update and it's impossible to tell witch faction controls bases until after you dock or your faction giving you a mission were they need to find out what is wrong with it, and as soon as you do you get a bounty and are unable to complete the mission or missions this is a bug you said you were fixing with the 3.0 update but all that happened was that you now always get a bounty and its impossible to defend against the station because the bounties get even higher if you try.

Its also no fun if its a random base with no way of telling witch faction controls it.

Yeah I had the "bzzzt" freeze three times last night. Haven't had one for weeks and then three in one night, not good.
 
Yes this bug also happens on PC it was created with the 3.0 update, at the moment as far as I can tell their is no plan to fix any or at least try and fix any of the major bugs now in game until the next update.

Yeah I had the "bzzzt" freeze three times last night. Haven't had one for weeks and then three in one night, not good.

I want to say that I appreciate the fixed mission boards. I have now unlocked Guardian Plasma Chargers, something I spent all weekend unable to do, so thanks!

Mission accomplished. No for some Neofabric Insulators...

This is what happened to me and my friends everytime we met in SRVs in the previous 3.x releases.

After crashing three weeks/livestreams in a row, we've decided to put our Elite XBOX livestream on hold, so I haven't really played since 3.0.4

If anyone is having this issue one thing to try is to clear your xbox cache (hold the power button for 10 secs,) then select the Elite tile from the dashboard using the start/menu button (don't launch Elite) and under manage game, saved games, clear the game saves (again, Not in Elite but from the XBOX dashboard) Then when you launch the game it will re-download your save - this fixed the galmap issue for me.
 
I see the changes to the Top 5 boards leave them useless for Power Play. What good is knowing who is undermining if we don't know where? Put the boards back to the way they were before this unneeded c&p change so at least they're useful once again and stop taking away needed information from players!

I actually did see that video, and I actually took a break from grinding mats just to fly there, and I actually landed and drove my SRV off a cliff I couldn't see the bottom of. Took about a minute to hit the bottom.

I just didn't recall that that rather obtuse planet name was the same Yamiks had mentioned.

Hello everyone,

We are taking the galaxy servers down now for the 3.0.4 update which has a number of bug fixes. It also reverts the changes made to hot ships and access to outfitting in the 3.0.3 update, which means ships can now access outfitting anywhere except Starports controlled by a faction that has issued a bounty or fine against them.

Details about future crime proposals can be found here.

Estimated downtime is approximately two hours, and we'll communicate here and on our social media channels when the servers are back online.

Consoles

  • Fixed a cockpit shadow issue near planets on the PS4
  • Restored the version info text to the main menu on the XB1

Crime

  • Fixed an issue where players couldn't pay off bounties via the Interstellar Factors Contact when their notoriety was 0
  • Refuelling from the Starport Services screen is now allowed while under Anonymous Access Protocol
  • Power bounties are now cleared when the player leaves or defects from a power
  • Power bounties are now included when cleaning a ship with Interstellar Factors
  • Outfitting service is always open (where available) except when using anonymous access

Installations/POIs/USSs

  • Fixed scans in settlements only giving one data material, apart from Guardian Blueprints which intentionally return one
  • Fixed an issue where police will spawn in anarchy systems at a USS

Local News Reports

  • Fixed the wrong ship name appearing in the top 5 bounty lists if a commander appears in more than one list
  • Fixed ship bounties not being added to the top 5 bounty lists on login
  • Fixed top 5 bounty list entries not expiring after 5 days
  • Fixed superpower bounties not being added to the top 5 bounty list when issued

Missions

  • Long distance passenger missions now properly allow the selection of a mission reward
  • Fixed rank up missions not spawning
  • Fixed some Search and Rescue missions not correctly reflecting the repair state of the Starport
  • Fixed some mission-only cargo types not being available
  • Delivery Wing mission payouts have been increased and the cargo requirement decreased

Multi-crew

  • Crew members now unlock trade data correctly when the helm scans a Nav Beacon

Player Journal

  • Fixed localised strings where the localisation resources redirect to another text symbol
  • Fixed missing "PayBounties" event
  • Ensured commodity names are localised in CargoDepot interactions, and when scooping and dumping from SRV
  • Fixed some factions having their influence displayed incorrectly

Stability Fixes

  • Fixed a rare memory crash
  • Fixed a connection issue that could occur near SYNUEFE VM-D C15-10 2 A
  • Fixed a connection issue that could occur near planet surfaces
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when using the Kill Warrant Scanner
  • Fixed the tourist beacon issue where the beacons became misplaced

Weapons & Modules

  • The damage values displayed for experimental weapons now more accurately represent the damage that they will deal against human vessels

The wing missions are back to being suitable for solo players again TBH. I don't think you're looking at them from the right angle, trade runs are not the most exciting way of earning credits but at least with the wing missions they add a little diversity to trade loops and fill the gap for one sided profit runs, for example:

At system A I can load my T-9 with 736 cargo and make 2,600,000 profit at system B
Loading 736 cargo at system B only makes me 576,000 when selling at system A

If I take a cargo run mission at system B that drops off at system A and gives me a total of 8,000,000 as a reward, say 5700 / 736 in 8 runs, which would have made 4,608,000 had I just moved the best selling cargo, this then gives a total of:

20,800,000 (8 runs from system A selling cargo at system B) and the 8,000,000 reward from the mission at system B gives me 28,800,000 for a few hours work, obviously this needs two systems with drop off points that only take a very short period of time to reach and dock but they are out there, I have a few I use and swap between. As the time limit on the cargo missions is quite generous I also take on data boom and other cargo drop off missions to add variety.

EDIT: Having given more time to this current update the reward credits for wing missions are much, much lower than before, getting 8,000,000 plus for one of the first I found was a fluke, the cargo amounts may have been lowered again but the rewards have as well unfortunately ... back to trade loops then :|
