Update 5 and still poor FPS.

Hmmm... Looking at my results I see a possible issue with Heaven. My GPU's a 6GB model and Heaven is only reporting 4GB. I fired Heaven back up and had a look at the running process and it's a 32bit executable. Therefore, it will only ever see 4GB or below. I don't know how much this does or does not skew the results but I'm guessing many of the GPUs in these results are >4GB. Just putting it out there.

Yep, it's possible, but realistically, it's the in game performance we're really interested in, and the Heaven is just to see if it shakes out any odd results, such as someone getting a low score in Heaven with a high end card, which could indicate a HW issue.

I've only got a 1080p screen to test with, so that should really be the lowest common denominator.
I'd suggest doing the run on Fullscreen Ultra preset to get a worst case scenario.
Those with higher panels a run at 1080 and native (4k panels could run at 1440 too, if you're up for it) would give good indicators too.

I've actually started collating into a Excel sheet (I might have had too much time on my hands...) so happy to update with more accurate figures, and I think it would also be interesting to see the difference higher end cards are achieving at higher resolutions.

Lol - I'll be forever known as "That guy that doesn't run Elite on Ultra" :p

I've got a Unigine score for the spreadsheet:

Hey @BL1P - I've done a little digging, and I've seen 3060 scores coming in at the 4000s on Heaven - Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/k7ybz1/rtx_3060_ti_heaven_benchmark/

But those might be with AA off. Would you mind re-running Heaven at the settings as above, but with AA off just to check it comes in at the same level.
Thats a 3060 TI, the TI version is much better and much more expensive atm.

But sure I will run one with aa off.

What's really amusing is trying to work out what was going on in the brains at FDEV. Elite was already a very good game in terms of visual quality and performance. Why the felt the need to redo everything is really strange.

Especially when you consider everything that has been going on the past 18 months. GPU shortages/prices, global pandemic ect ect.

Here is the none AA one.
Thank you, if you follow the link I posted, you'll see a couple people with standard 3060s posting. That score seems much closer to theirs, a little lower, but not by much, and I don't know if they've tweaked anything on their cards.

As expected, I think we can set HW issues tiers the back of the queue with your lore FPS.

maybe Fdev can use this for something

To be honest, a war zone in space in U5 is going to my are s h i t, in U4 I already get worse but now it is worse, luckily it does not lower me than 50, but Horizon was going to more than 140 fps in high combat zone intensity now 50 -
i7-4790 all cores 4Ghz
2080
16GB ram
SSD
all low or removed except textures
100% viewing distance and ground distance too, it seems that having it like this stabilizes the FPS but does not improve them

Compare your system specs to mine. In theory you should get better performance than my GTX 1050. Mine has half the ram and isn't a Ti. Yet my performance numbers on yours.
Yes, but your processor seems to be better...?
I'm not nearly tech savvy enough to properly interpret this.
