Update 6 has caused lag issues

thanks for that post.
after deleting all goat feeders, the laggs completly disappears.
platform: PC
also got a feedback from my last live stream, that the folliages causes laggs for someone on PS5. His laggs dissapeared after he deleted all hand placed plants and trees
I'll have to try this, I don't feel like I'd put down that much in terms of decorations but I do have quite a few feeders.

You're welcome.
I'm glad it worked for you.

I have a lot of decorations in all my parks but I experienced no performance problems before the update and since it took quite some time to decorate my parks I'd rather wait for a new patch instead of demolishing everything.

@ Jens

Thanks a lot. Pls tell the team to not forget old gen users. 😉

I noticed that after the update, all saved Sandbox files default to infinite feeders. As such, as soon as you load into a prior save file for the first time post-update, all feeders immediately close and re-dispense. This caused an initial lag spike but disappeared for me after a few seconds. I have noticed though that even after carnivores eat a goat, a feeder may still say that its usage level is "Unused." I'm not sure if that's related to the lag or not.

I've yet to encounter any of the truly severe lag that people have been talking about. Since I pretty much never use placeable foliage, I suspect that that's the main source of the issue, especially since this mechanic was given a major overhaul in the update. After he deleted all of the placeable foliage, was he able to place new foliage without lag, or did it return again? Does this apply to placing new goat feeders after deleting existing goat feeders as well?

I find it kind of ironic yet sad that the community has wanted more foliage options and infinite feeders on all maps for so long, and as soon as they receive these things, these additions possibly messed up a lot of their save files.

i dont know if he places new foliages after deleting the old, sorry.

I have not build new goat feeders, cause it was already a new map / save, so i thought the laggs will come back if i place one.

But there is maybe something new i found out.
When i startet the ne film mode, it began to lagg again, so i deaktivated and aktivated the different options and the laggs stops when deaktivating the camera for Tours & viewing galleries. When this option was aktivated the game was still laging even when i closed the capture/film mode.

Thank you. That's what was causing the freezes in my case.
I turned off all options in cinema mode and now there are no lags or freezes. (social interactions are patched, too)

I could even turn on living bait feeders again and I checked it with day/night cycle. No lags or freezes on my PS4 Pro.
I can't use the cinema mode but that's ok for me.
👍
Finally an update, not a downgrade.

Jens Mentioned we could share our island files but I'm not quite sure how to do that, looking in my steamapps and common JWE2 folder there isn't a sandbox park file and I don't seem to be able to find them in the folders available. Anyone know how to find the files for my island to upload to frontier?

I saw this elsewhere, but selecting 'none' on all the options for the new cinematic capture mode significantly improved the lag on my parks in PC. A very small stutter is still perceptible, but its not nearly as bad as the one second hangups I was getting every 10-15 seconds before I made the change.

I think they are in: Windows C: > user > yourname > saved games > Frontier Developments > Jurassic World Evolution 2 > saves

Thanks, will share with the team!

Were you experiencing lag only when using the cinematic capture camera, or at all times?

Correct! :)
