Updated Permit List

I may have gone past it looking but has anyone posted that Peregrina is the plague system? If you go too near one of the Planets atmosphere (can't remember which one) and you become a plague ship and everyone and anyone can pop a cap in your ass. Or is it now clear?

The info for the Sirius permit can be updated: - Having gained allied status with Sirius Corp in the expansion terraforming stations (those with a * in the OP list) I received my permit (invitation to meet rep in Sirius for permit) in Luyten's Star, Ashby City station. So it is not only Procyon that issues the permit (which saves a long trek in to the stations in Procyon).

You can also receive it at Bruce Prospect in Avik.

That may be the lore, but so far this feature has not been implimented into the game (at least until planetary landings with atmospheres is worked out....since technically you can't get close enough yet to a planet's atmosphere to be "plagued").

As far as I can remember, when the whole UA artefact hoohar started of, Peregrina was a System that needed a permit, it also stated that it had a Plague world and avoid getting too close to the atmosphere, obviously I never tried it. I was just wondering whether it was, 'tis all. I never played the original so I don't know any of the Lore. I never had a decent PC when I were a nipper, everyone else at school did..me, no. The computer to have when I was young was a C64.

Just some updates, main post seems to be a bit out of date.

Nastrond is controlled by Dragons of Nastrond.
Crom is controlled by Crom Silver Boys.

I'm debating whether or not I should change it to "permit granting faction". Because if I change this, it may cause confusion. We already have another instance where Sirus Corp is no longer controlling Sirius, but is still handing out the permit.

What would be interesting is if the Dragons end up expanding, and we find out you can get a permit from getting allied with the Dragons. If this is the case, then having a Fed or Empire or Alliance aligned minor faction in control (and expanded) would make earning these permits much easier for others in the future (since getting allied with the Feds could automatically get you permits with multiple permit factions that aren't tied to ranks).

Ah crap sorry I did not know this.

I just assumed the faction that controls the system decides who gets in and out.

Maybe a big bit of rest text? "The controlling faction is not always the permit providing faction"

The Crom one though, that is a genuine change. Frontier have probably done some work to make faction names more unique due to dupes. It's now Crom Silver Boys.

Is it confirmed that the Defense Party of Nastrond still provides the permit, even though the Dragons of Nastrond control the system?

I'm pretty sure ANY faction from Nastrond can hand out the permit, regardless of control. Sirius Corp gives out Sirius permit despite not controlling Sirius. Its the same with Nastrond since, if you go to the systems they are present in, you can see the quest mission in the list of unobtainable missions.

Heh.

Phekda's controlling faction "The Ancients of Mumu" which I presume is a player group. :)

I did not know player groups could take control of permit systems.

(they don't control permit issue)
