Updated Permit List

The Brotherhood of Terra Mater no longer has a station in Hecate. Any ideas how to get the permit now?

Just completed this permit myself last night. "The Brotherhood of Terra Mater" is present in both stations in Hecate so you can do missions for them to gain allied status and then you will receive the "invitation" mission.

Update to:
JOTUN
Faction: Dukes of Jotun
Rep Systems: Djaujang*, Caleta* (Add Blanquichu as Rep source and controlled and permit available from).
Benefits: Access to Rare Good (Juton Mookah, 32x tons)
Note: Both systems have a station controlled by the dukes of Jotun.

Slow going getting missions though as they seem to have little control in system now.

Looking at my status I see I have loads of permits for places I did not know I had been given them but leaving that to one side. I am not clear what I am supposed to do, as I don’t know how I got them either.

So I followed the instructions for Peregrina got allied with Peregrina aristocrats then went to HIP 18609, then what? I am not seeing any obvious next steps.

I am kinda thinking this is probably the dumbest question known to man but once you accept your place in life it’s so much easier to move on.:D

If you are successfully allied with the correct faction, you should find a mission on the bulletin board which is an invitation to go to the Peregrina system. Accepting the mission will give you the permit temporarily; completing the mission (which just requires travelling to Peregrina and turning in the mission at the bulletin board there) will give you the permit permanently.

Heh.

Phekda's controlling faction "The Ancients of Mumu" which I presume is a player group. :)

I did not know player groups could take control of permit systems.

(they don't control permit issue)

Interesting. Well, it will be fun to see if the Ancients will expand and grant the permit. But a google search doesn't reveal anything about this group! And i don't see anything on the reddit!

I was just looking at the Alliance page on the wiki. This states
The Alliance does not contain ranks, instead featuring a complex permit scheme that restricts commanders' travel to Alliance systems.
Yet there appears to be only one system with an Alliance permit - Alioth. Not very complex that.

I can officially confirm that you can still obtain the permit from defense party of Nastrond, despite the fact that the Dragons of Nastrond hold a controlling share (66%) of Nastrond's influence, as I have just obtained the permit.

This confirms that a permit granting faction doesn't need to control its home system to grant the permit.

Also, made a few updates to Nastrond.

Also, finally have all the indie permits aside from the CQC one! :D

Cheers worked a charm

Aye I can find no mention of it as a player faction anywhere.

It seems really odd if it's not a player faction, I mean obviously it's a reference to The KLF song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntEjsIaGIvc

Anyway I sent a message to support, just out of curiosity really.

The faction in question has their homesystem set to Phekda, so according to the information available to me it should not be a player faction.

I will flag this for investigation nonetheless though.

If it's a player faction I don't begrudge them having a permit system, in fact 10/10 for managing it. :)

But given it's their home system, I'm now wondering if it's test data that got through to live somehow.

Regardless, if it's not a player faction I have no issue at all with "The Ancients of Mumu" being in game!! Yeah give them a permit system + name one of the planets Mumu land.

Had my permit from long ago for Phekda, think i'll pop over there and see whats happened to the system. Introduced law and order it seems from system map and probably banned many things, bah. I'll get the faction description once there.

Basic description only, mumu.jpg

No state either in the system. Could be tricky to aquire the permit unless theres a power shift or they expand in the future.

A player group faction ? or is this a bit like the Isinor permit, locked for a future mystery or redundant storyline?.
no idea myself. cant find any info either on the faction or if a player group.
Could be a new npc faction in the system i guess then,, maybe linked to the only other news in station from july.Screenshot_0798.jpgScreenshot_0797.jpg
A few ships passed through the system in the last day.

Nah, you can still get the permit, any faction based out of the permit system can offer it I'm pretty sure.

If the Phekda society can still issue it , then checking Brizo would be best, was many BB missions asking for slaves, here in fed space? darn , where to find the,.. oh right here in the market, ( unless its been banned by now )
used to be a easy farming of missions like that to get the permit unless its changed.

If they dont issue the permit, and that faction is something they have planned, it could be interesting for Aliance story possibly. Long ago when i was chasing the permits and researching the alliance, the old timeline mensions Phekda as one of the founding systems of the Alliance. This is old timeline , but in our timeline now, Alliance is almost like a half formed group of systems with no Navy. Was the only reason i earned the permit long ago.

but that news Phekda Herald, Alliance flag seen flying over gonzalez, could be future story for the Alliance i've been dreaming of ..

Heh so on the Ancients of Mumu mystery...

Phekda's description has changed in beta :

uc

So definitely not a player group.

No Mumu land yet though. =p
