Good to know. So I can stay away from there!! I ain't going anywhere near that thing. We need a way to tow it into the main star of the system. Incinerate those nasty buggers in the cleansing plasma fire of a star.

The system Mbooni is permit locked, too. Couldn't find it on any list, therefore I post it here. Amusingly the system description says that a permission for Kamba is required [noob]. Maybe it is a bug, but I haven't filed a report yet.
Another thing which bothers me since months (which is somehow permit related) - one or two of the Castellan Belt Clusters in Lave (think it was 2, or 4, or both) aren't visitable. Even with dash I couldn't get closer than 3 Mm. Dropout is not possible. Has anyone else noticed this or managed to get there?

I got the Pi Mensae Brotherhood an outpost over in LAWD 27, so you guys have exploration data or medium-ship trade as an option for rep now.
Kamba was renamed to Mbooni in 2.3 Guess someone missed the description.
A bug report seems appropriate.
Kamba and Mbooni both exist. Mbooni is permit locked. You need the Kamba system permit.
So I know I can do missions, sell cartographic to a station owned by the minor faction, and trade with a station owned by a minor faction. I believe you can also help with war and sell combat bonds. Is there a way to bounty hunt then cash in your bounties with a minor faction station or anything? What are the ways you can rank up with a minor faction and whichis the quickest way to do it?

If you are returning from an exploration trip, you can get one or more permits instantly by selling about 7.5 million of data at the right stations. So that's the quickest, provided you have the data. Otherwise, bountyfarming is definitely the fastest way to get a permit. Trade is next, though I prefer to mine since it's pure profit. Missions are the slowest way to get a permit.
How do you know where you can bounty hunt? Does the minor faction need to own the system or station?
Bountyhunting in their systems is best, as you will get specific bounties for the faction. But generic superpower bounties work as well - or they used to. There has been a change to how superpower bounties affect the faction's influence, so there may be some changes to the reputation you get.

hey dudes, in my quest to find the [REDACTED]. i found that HIP 22460 is still permit locked, but it says it's federation controlled, high tech, and in a boom state. I checked elsewhere and everyone had it listed as none for everything. The population is still 0 however.
Is the permit for this system still bugged?
