If overclock my CPU, should I list the OC speed in the Core Speed column?
For example if the CPU is 2,4 GHz / No boost & I OC it to 3,0 GHz, surely the actual figure would be better indicator of the system's performance level?

There is some serious hardware on that spreadsheet. ED clearly appeals to those with a passion for hardware ;p

What are you guys thoughts on the GTX560 TI, I feel it is the bottle neck in my system, do you feel it would be worth an upgrade specifically for ED?

I definitely don't have Quad Core Processors. It's only a dual-core for me, so will it still run at least or not at all.

I'm on a dual core E8400 at the moment, but have just managed to source a quad core replacement for a cheap price. I might initially run the alpha with the dual core, then replace it with the quad core. I'll let you know how it goes.

Michael said that it definitely needs 4 cores to be playable. It'll run with 2 cores but they believed wouldn't be playable.

Otherwise it wont matter what hardware you have if your running the wrong OS ?

Don't think they've said. The 2Gb min for alpha means it could be either.

I've got a MacBook Pro Retina - and I a'int letting that stop me. I have a nice shiny new windows 7 x64 partition with Elite Dangerous name on it all ready and waiting for Alpha to start
