General / Off-Topic Using (C) Elite logo elsewhere?

Immediately fell in love with this possibility as it really (for me) connects two worlds and gameplays, being able to have the same decal on ships here and there.

On a serious note, since this logo/decal is a (C) property of FDev/Braben, if I post such screenshots online on Twitter or whatever, could I face some legal problems?
Guess it's one thing to upload ie. Triple Elite Decal on ED ship, but this... this is a pathway some may consider to be... unnatural.

Nah, you're grand, people do it all the time. Frontier are, for better or worse, pretty cool about people using it.

(This sort of thing isn't just allowed, they encourage it with the #stellarscreenshots thing, and the like. Now the people making "unofficial merchandise" and selling it on places like Etsy... that's another thing, I'd think).

Yeah, no merch of any kind planned here of course, just wouldn't want to have my social channel closed for (C) infringement for putting their logo on someone else's digital product.

That's not the same thing as using the triple elite decal.

If anything, it should be Egosoft being miffed about "advertising" the logo of a concurrent game. They won't though, easy going fellows they are, and you are free to use anything you want in your single player game. You are hardly making money out of an Elite logo slapped on a Asgard anyway.
