COMPLETED CG Vista Genomics Exobiology Initiative (Exobiology)

Any suggestions for people who are bored with exo and just want one contribution? Any close by system with easy to see biologicals?
Any sample other than Radicoida counts so you could zap tussock in the Bubble before you go.
The bonus for the Rim doesn't actually exist so that is something of a waste of time.

FWIW, I've also just added the following to the ticket:

"Same issue here. Submitted 202,504,000 base value credits worth of first footfall bio samples exclusive to the Sanguineous Rim at VG on the CG megaship and received 1,012,520,000 in payment, which is correct if based on 1x multiplier and not the promised 1.5x multiplier."

To be honest, I don't need the 'money'. But, others might, so...

For me, a player who is new to XOBio and for anyone else who is doing this CG who is also new to XOBio, it's more about what the money can do to help us up with our rankings. I've just been going back to the megaship after each session, instead of just staying out and collecting samples to come back on the last day to hand them in.

Somehow I'm in the top 10 CMDRs at the moment, but I doubt I will still be there come the end of the CG.

It's made me realise how useful a fleet carrier can be for XOBio out in the black. I'm pretty certain that the Sanguineous Rim is already a well-explored part of space, there are lots of first discoveries from the old days pre-Odyssey, and lots of CMDRs who have left single biological signal planets alone - probably because it wasn't worth their time bothering with.

Just to be clear, only the price is multiplied, players get more credits out of getting Samples from a specific region, they don't get more contributions towards to CG. The team have looked into this and assure me that the multiplier is being applied as expected, I have gone back to ask them to double check though, to be sure. [16:40BST]

On a whim I checked Inara, which I have linked to my frontier account and never manually adjusted anything on it.

It's showing about a hundred million credits more than I have in game. Which is about what I would expect to have earned if the 1.5x bonus only applied to the base reward for exobiology and not the first discovery bonuses I also got.

Is the in-game amount wrong, or is the API value Inara pulled wrong?

maybe thats the reason why FDev states "working as expected" on their and it looks like, only on the individual Cdrs side it doesn´t work....

It sounds to me that even though the vista genomics popup is saying eg. "1000000", your credits are actually going up by 1500000, but I suppose one needs to carefully check the before and after total credits amount one has to corroborate.

nope, definetly does not!
I checked my Balance (right side menu) before and after handing in the vista-data. definetly no multiplier!

I did check my total in-game before and after. I only got as much in-game as the samples were worth. For some reason Inara's automatic update is showing that I earned more than the in-game numbers.

Throwing in another batch of screenshots in case it helps; the turn-in screens for my exobiology showing my credit value before I sold anything, after selling the first page, and after selling the last page. Only the usual bonuses are shown, no CG bonus.

My last post shows my balance once I got back to the ship, still sitting at that 1.9 mil, compared to Inara saying I should have 2 mil, though I think Inara's values went all sorts of wonky around the time of the update, so that might not be reliable.

You are looking at your total balance in the vista genomics popup, not your actual total balance (which you can see eg. in your ship or the game's main menu).

Have you checked that?
If you scroll up just a handful of posts to that previous post I mentioned, you would see I already posted it ;) But here it is again, I suppose.

Four screenshots, four different totals. I'm confused. What is this supposed to show?
That the 1.5x bonus is not being applied to any of it?

The first screenshot is before anything is sold. 807 million.

The second screenshot is the first page being sold. It sold for 1.048 billion, putting me at 1.8 billion credits. In it, you can see a few exobiology rewards, but not the entire list. Bacterium bullaris, for example, is at its normal value, plus the first discovery bonus (you can check that on the wiki, if you need confirmation that's the normal values for both)

The third screenshot is the final page where, again, all three samples are selling for their regular base value, for a total of 99.7 million, putting me at 1.9 billion.

The final screenshot shows my final credit value in the ship. (Editing to add: it's lower than the value in the previous screenshot because I repaired the ship after turning in my exobiology, nothing that would explain missing millions in CG bonuses)

Nowhere is there a 1.5x bonus being applied. Not to the base values, not to the first discovery values, not to my credits in the ship after the fact.

Do you really think, that no one can calculate some trivial sums ?
Do you really think no one checked the Stats showed in Codex and checked the game logs ?
What do you not understand in a payout of 2Billion instead of a payout of 3Billon ? Its not a rocket-science to multiply 2Billion with 1.5.

t3 hit;

Top 10 CMDRs ~ 246 to 363 220,000,000 Cr
Top 25% ~ 28 to 245 175,000,000 Cr
Top 50% ~ 10 to 27 120,000,000 Cr
Top 75% ~ 3 to 9 100,000,000 Cr
Top 100% ~ 1 to 2 45,000,000 Cr

edit; boo to the new forum format thingymajig
