VR and Broadband usage question

I have an Oculus GO and I am wondering about the broadband usage of it, I play from a hotspot on a phone and I am limited on the hotspot. The game uses very little broadband it'self but when you use a VR does it really go up or what? Also my gaming laptop offers streaming from the laptop to something else like a tv using it's hotspot and it can have multipal internet inputs so it might be specific to the HP 17t(not sure). Anyone use the Oculus GO?

Now that I've done some searching on this I see what they are doing. Streaming the video over WiFi with a third party app.

So yes, that will not change your "out of house" internet usage for a metered connection. But you do have to have an in-home wireless router, and it's highly recommended that it be tip-top, super fast, and the computer be hard wired to it. Understand that sending video and control information, essentially bi-directionally will saturate even the best WiFi.

It sounds like you're not using a router at all in your setup, so my thinking is that this will not work for you, even in the not recommended "wireless on both ends" method.

The HP17t can stream to another device it's display output so I'm not sure I'll need that at all- going play with it and see- this thing can take duel input wifi and still output wifi via its own hotspot.
