Yes, I know this is not the VR forum, but most peeps see this board first..

There is currently a problem with Oculus DLL runtime certificates.

There is not a problem with Oculus Headsets etc

Just aheads up..

And no, Fdev will not be removing VR from the game while they investigate :D :D

I wonder if that’s why I can’t start the game from Oculus Home now? I have to dig into the Oculus software files and start the launcher manually.

Thanks I stumbled on this before I got ready you play. I sure as hell would not have seen it in the Vr forum.

Guy's, I've had ED and my rift running since yesterday, haven't actually played the game though, at home now and my Rift is working normally and I'm docked. Are you saying it will stop working if I exit the game or try to restart Oculus?

Probably. I can't currently start the Oculus runtime at all, and of course E: D tries to do that as soon as it loads.

EDIT: actually, the Oculus runtime service does show as running. But Oculus Home can't contact it.

Almost certainly, unless you put your date back a (couple of) days

As a security professional, and a Rift owner, I am deeply dismayed by this level of incompetence. They essentially DoS'd all their users through sheer negligence.... Inexcusable.

It depends on the date in your time zone. One (or more) of the software packages affected have a software certification date ending 7th March 2018. Post 20 on the following link has screen captures of the offending article.

Jeez, I've got 4 days at home, then probably away for a few months. Was hoping to get some R&R and play a bit of ED, perfect timing. Someone is getting fired at Oculus.

Am in the UK, Don't mind changing the time on my computer, just wondering how it will affect other apps I use. Screw it, off to the pub to watch the footie

I would leave the Oculus software running then. There are concerns on what other applications (such as Windows Update) might be affected by changing the date.

Sure its a big ol' gaffe. But the amount of drama people are generating over this..... truly the amount of entitlement anger on the oculus forum is enough to turn my stomach six times over.
