Vulture - What to use it for?

A well worded response. In my opinion, the vulture is an improvement in agility and very little else. The 2 hard points, while large, mean very limited weapon options given its power issues. This ship, while great for many, just doesn't suit my style. And that is the key. Some will love it others won't. It is a very personal decision. I would say shield wise and firepower wise it likely is "better" than your cobra, but that will be a matter of perspective. Also, when viewing people posting how much they make per hour bounty hunting, keep in mind they may get a bonus from being aligned with certain PP leaders. I don't take anyone's stated credits per hour as being neccesarily attributable to the ship they fly.

is it that much more manoeuvrable ? if it's just to stay close to big ships while you blast them to bits with your cannons all the while they're shooting the security guards with their lasers. the Cobra does just fine. the shield issue could be an important one as I tend to avoid multiple big ships, the Cobra doesn't last long, but it gets away very fast ! wings of 3 small ships are no problem because I come from behind full throttle when they engage a target and kill one ship's shields before close range and blast 2 cannons which destroys 1 of 3, target no 2 takes about 10 seconds and then I just have to concentrate on the 3rd who is busy fighting it's own target. Works 9 out of 10 times. if not I boost my way out in seconds.

The one thing to watch, if you are used to a Cobra, is that whilst you can destroy ships much much faster in a vulture, if things go wrong (eg a strong wing) you have lost the ability to run away. The vulture can be a death trap in a war zone if you suddenly attract a lot of attention.

Hahaha...yes.....it's unbelievable how many people can't see that he just playing with you guys.....hahaha i have one question too....."What does everyone use their T9 for?" Haha wake up people

wake up to what ? The OP 's original subject was more a question about upgrading from Cobra to vulture, to do what ? So a T9 is slightly over budget, and Error's comment ( as funny as it was) I'm sure was more humour than playing with us ! And I'm quite sure All (but one) got that !

Sorry, If you had read all the posts from the beginning and not just Error's post you would know that I've only been playing a month and only flown 2 ships so you should know better than me seeing as I read this forum a lot and know that you have recently been promoted Elite ranking, so help yourself !

What has Elite ranking with all this???....my point was that we all have some "strange questions" but for some reason you would not help with my strange question

in my opinion, when you get to Elite ranking, you've played the game enough to be able to answer all the questions about the various space ships in ED. so I assumed when you said "wake up people !" in a superior Elite manner, I just assumed you were taking pleasure at treating the NOOBS as complete idiots !
were you?

p.s. this is not even my thread, so I apologise to the OP if this has gotten out of hand, but cannot help you Abigor, as I have only have flown a Sidewinder and a Cobra. Maybe you should start a new thread asking about the bounty-hunting capabilities of a T7 or T9 !

Vulture is great for Bounty Hunting in RES, either High or HAZ Resource Extraction Sites. Both bring mucho credits.

I'm almost ELITE in Combat but have 0.00000 knowledge about the trading ships. Just had the Viper, MK III, Vulture and Python so far to make my way to ELITE.

ok, well I apologise to you for my misinterpretation. I have not done one bulletin board mission or one single trade yet. But I can safely say that bounty-hunting npc's is very easy, fun work and pays relatively well, but I doubt Elite traders have money problems ! go for it but I recommend a Cobra or Vulture over a T7 ! Lol

The Vulture is a great ship to mess around with in combat, especially since the advent of bi-weave shields and the hull reinforcement buff.

Bi-weave shields??

Ive gone mainly for hull reinforcement and more fuel. I've done away with cargo bays as well.

i must admit I've not really gone into high res sites for bounty hunting. I've more often gone into low intensity combat zones with my Cobra and pray there aren't any Navy vessels, FDS or FDL's in there!
