War comes to Summerland

I've been pootling about Summerland for a while now and it's generally a pretty sedate place. Not anymore! Two of the local factions have kicked off a mini-war and it's right next to one of the Outposts "Van Rijhn Hub" I think it's called but my spelling is probably off. A number of low intensity war zones have sprung up and I have to say they are great fun. I supercruised in expecting to see a load of Eagles, sidewinders and the like but heck no. Pythons, Clippers and even the odd Anaconda. There are some Eagles but not many so it felt pretty intense flying amongst the bigger ship. Also at the Van Rijhn hub there are combat missions from the controlling faction (Patron's Principles) to take out either side of the scrap. Apparently war is not good for their business. Anyway, if you fancy a scrap come along to Summerland and join in the fun.

Interesting, was planning a trip out that way tonight.

Got my permit and don't seem to be getting any new naval missions so figured why not. Besides want to do a bit of exploration on the way. Could be a good opportunity to work on my combat rating.

You know I think this is an easter egg system. See Summerlund is a fictional country in the "Lone Wolf" adventure series books by Joe Dever and the homeland of the main character that the reader portrayed. They were extremely popular "back in the day" of Elite. I also believe the Hub name is a fictional city in the game world from one of the books.

Ya devs, I know of it. Got your number!
