Horizons Warning, your frameshift drive is operating beyond normal tollerences?

I've experienced this bug in Procyon while nowhere near the jet cone of Procyon B. Heading to a nearby station, but definitely outside of the range of the cones - not even aligned with them.

I've had this message too. I thought it was due to the loss of integrity on my FSD after engineering. That would make sense to me. It happens when i max out speed in system. Be interesting if we surveyed each others integrity loss on the FSD post engineering.

Time for explanation ;)

you get this message because someone else in the same system and instance supercharged their fsd. The bug is that you get that message even though someone else did it. Its the same when someone triggers self destruct, something people do a lot, for example, in Quince. You get that message a lot when in open and on the planet there since they run surface scanner missions and just trigger self destruct to get back to Millerport quickly.

"module malfunction" is another example that you hear sometimes when its in fact someone elses ship.

probably the same bug that causes your surface scan missions to complete if someone else scans a base in the same instance as you.

another example is the alien ruins where you only have to wait for others to scan the artifacts to get it registered yourself..

Ive been grinding away in Procyon to unlock Sirius (which i just did) and this warning is getting a little annoying. It does it pretty much every time I get within 2000ls of Cormack Hub. Now I need to wait on the Qwent invite and I'm leaving and not coming back :)

I have been in the process of acquiring the Sirius permit by doing missions etc for Sirius corp at Cormack Hub and Davy Dock in the Procyon system. Every time I approach Cormack Hub I get this warning, "Warning, your frameshift drive is operating beyond normal tolerances?." It is a binary system and the sun where you enter the Procyon system is an F type but the other star which the main planets orbit is a Y type, one of those with the blue light thingie which I already know affects the FSD somehow but Cormack Hub is 11,000ls away and Davy is closer to the sun but I only get the warning at Cormack. Can someone point me to an explanation of this phenomenon or is it a bug?.

I got the message too as I was approaching Davy dock

I've had this message on a few occasions; mostly whilst in glide mode flying down to a planet, but occasionally just out in deep space in SC. I just assumed it was something to do with having an engineered FSD.
