was it intended to remove local news from station bulletin?

Sorry if this has been posted already but can't find it...

Since 3.0 I do not see local news in stations (Surface, outposts and coriolis so far).
Is this known? Intended?

I saw a faction under retreat before 3.0, no news after.
Also another entered Outbreak 2 days ago still no news. Actually there isn't a single news item since 3.0 dropped and all news was wiped.

The traffic and bounty are still there.

The 'news' on Pending states also served as helpful hints for new BGS players as to how to handle the incoming state, so even from that point of view losing them is a shame.

But personally I miss the colour commentary they provided & hope FDev will reinstate them.

I am still not seeing any news in my part of the galaxy. Has Frontier commented on this? Has the news been deliberately disabled? Is it a bug? Something else? I miss those little flavor stories.

I'd be more worried with the 'latest issues' Maia still has one from June last year as it's newest! Poor Guy still probably drifting out there with no one to find him... Hate to break the news but I am pretty sure he is without question certifiably dead.. like very cured meat sort of dead.. I wouldn't know if someone found him because THEY DON'T UPDATE THE NEWS!

Thats an old player written galnet, anything with herald in title is either player or fd written and not automatically generated by bgs states

Looks like there is an update incoming, lets hope this was fixed!

Edit: seen the patch notes doesn't look like it

Yeah, the lack of the automated news reports is annoying, especially since now its difficult to track some sporadic information about active states in less traveled regions.
