We ALL should protest against FDev while stop playing Elite dangerous!!!

Kinda weird how people use the word "nerf" these days. They didn't nerf anything, you never where supposed to make 300 mil per hour or 20 mil per minute just sitting in a station, those things are bugs and gamedevs fixing bugs is a thing they do.

WHAT A CONCEPT! :O

:D

Although I'm irritated with this see-vid-just-nerf-everything culture taking shape, just to appease the vocal minority of killjoys more than anything else, I certainly will keep playing. I'll certainly give FD a chance to show what they've got planned. I'm more positive about the Engineers than before, thanks to you guys my binding doesn't reset every day, so....we will see.

Its not a nerf, its the disabling of a broken feature. A fix is in the works, and is scheduled for end of the coming week or the beginning of the week after. So two mission templates get disabled for two weeks, its not the end of the world.

You're preaching to the wrong crowd here. These forums always whitewash the actions of FDev and NEVER, EVER admit any flaws within the game. Nothying will ever change, FDev are going to keep making their game worse and worse for both new and old players alike until all but their fiercely loyal Forum shills are gone. It has happened so many times before you'd think a man like Braben would of steered clear of making the same mistakes again, apparently he didn't. Shame really, Elite: Dangerous could of been a really groundbreaking generation defining game.

Pointing out flaws in the game is what actually brought us into the situation OP is complaining about.

Yeah, only stupid paid FD shills will support fixing obvious bugs. How stupid!

So all that said, why does it matter if someone gets an A-rated Cutter and a few billion in the bank in a weekend?

Because then there is no motivation to do anything else without feeling like you're wasting your time. An A rated cutter should be an accomplishment that should be worked for.

During the skimmer exploit the trade routes were dead, which killed my profession as a pirate.

It is a bit weird how things keep getting turned off. You could almost think they don't want you to progress to the bigger ships.

OP, I shouldn't worry about it, there is another cash cow out there right now and for 500 Platinum I am happy to spill the beans.

Would have, not would of.

Could have, not could of.

Jeez, if you're going to write such hyperbolic nonsense, at least have the decency to use the correct words.

Feel better?

Braben hasn't made the same mistakes again. He's stayed out of court, for instance. :)

The sky won't fall in. ED is a good but flawed game that will either improve a bit or not. It certainly will never be generation defining. For me, that's ok.

Ok, let's hear it then. How long do you think is reasonable for the Cutter to be available to a new player, taking into account Navy rank and credits?

Na, it isn't that big of a deal. Developers often have to make small and large scale changes after a big release. I'm getting along just fine without the few mission types that are in the shop. Maybe there's a bunch that feel like me too.

Your stereotypes and insults just put me off to any suggestion you may make.

Fly safe Commander.

If you don't agree with a post. Can you for once just not say anything. good god man

I think 4 to 6 months is reasonable, unless you want to kill yourself grinding for it, then maybe a couple of weeks. I think it was around a year before I obtained a cutter, 4 months to obtain an asp but I didn't specifically grind for them. Credits, I think 10 mil an hour is a decent high end if using large ships.

How about a new player doesn't get a Cutter at all unless he stops being a new player?

But why?

If a new player wants a Cutter, let them have a Cutter in a weekend if they want to work at it.

If they're careless with it and lose it so many times that they either get frustrated or run out of money, then lesson learned and back to the poor-people ships for them.

Are we in the same forum? All people do is moan and complain about the game and all its mechanics.

Except when you ask them to stop playing - that is going one step to far.

Why have credits at all? If a player wants something just let them press the I-Win-Button. Because it's bad game design, that's why.

PS
By the way, it took one hour to earn the credits for a Cutter.

Isn't that their loss? How is their eroding of their ED experience in anyway affecting any of us and our enjoyment of the game? Your trade routes should be back now that FDEV have removed those missions right?

I keep seeing this tendency to worry way too much about "the other guy" all the time. What they have, how they got it, how it negatively impacts "their" long term ED experience.

WHO CARES?

I mean seriously. You reap what you sow. End of story.

Nice! Where do you want your scarecrow delivering to?

Bad game design is timegating all the desirable, good stuff behind insufferable grinds and ridiculously bare and featureless progress bars. That's bad game design, right there.
