We ALL should protest against FDev while stop playing Elite dangerous!!!

While I sympathize with having such issues with the game that you cease playing while hoping they get addressed in the future, as I have - raising a stink over exploits being removed is flat-out wrong.

For me the biggest problem is not the rewards but the lack of available mission types I am interested in. There should be different categories that we can access prior to viewing the bulletin board. If I select haulage mission the game should give me 20 different haulage missions for each faction, the same for intel, combat and illegal missions.

Agree with that.
I always though it would be cool if the mission givers would take the ship and setup you're flying into consideration. You know, when you show up in an FdL armed to the teeth, they would tell to themselves "Oh, look, maybe this guy could help us getting rid of those pirates pestering the system, let's not bother them with mining missions." :D

Another thing I'd like to see would be choosing the destination of missions. Something like "I'm heading to Sol, anyone interested? Cool, hop in."

People will board hop regardless, people do not board flip because they "need to", it's because human beings like to optimise.

I'm not sure another increase in income from the mission board is the right solution, money is already easy to come by in ED.

Meta exception for me - way FD has hinted they will fix board hoping is that it will simply not work, it won't gain you anything. It will be same seed synced between servers and modes. You won't gain anything by logging on and off.

So it *will* matter at least for board hopping. People optimizing like looking for best missions around universe is nothing game breaking nor should be viewed as such.

I suppose all this friction is when an old school game meets the modern world- some want everything available now thinking the biggest ship = the best experience.

Plus, if you don't have the time to play ED then play another game that suits your hectic life. Elite should be about struggle and making do with lower tier ships and working up. Its not about having billions and never worrying about money, or having ten Cutters all stocked with gold reactive armour. FD have not got progression sorted properly, but at the same time making billions in a day is breaking what the Elite Dangerous 'experience' should be. FDs biggest sin is not having a proper end game- Powerplay should be this but that lies forgotten.

Ok, enjoy not playing OP. I'm not going to stop playing, enjoy the game far too much for that. When i have issues ill flag them to FD and wait for them to deal with them, if ever. If not, hey ho, still enjoy the game. Anything game breaking, ill raise a ticket for.

Who want my stuff? fully combat engineered FDL(2.3 k shield(even without prismatic shield), 102,5 DPS) + a trade/explore Anaconda with G5 FSD. and oh yes! plus covas and drive/fire colors. if you like

Yes, but that's a sensible thing to do.

Meh.

To be honest, if people are genuinely that unhappy with the game, they should stop playing it. Vote with your feet. Life is to short to do stuff you don't enjoy.

But OP, don't assume you speak for everyone, because you don't. There are plenty of people who are very happy with the game. Then there are lots of folks who realise ED has issues and flaws, but are still happy enough to continue playing regularly; such as myself.

What I don't understand is all the people who clearly despise ED and every decision FDev make and have no faith in the situation ever getting better, yet continue to hang around on these forums. People really just need to learn to move on. Over the years I have bought and played plenty of games I don't like, even a few I hate. But you don't see me hanging around on their official forums constantly slagging these games off. Or wasting my time continuing to play them.

I think they're all Star Citizen/Cloud Imperium employees hired to mine salt and demoralize FDev and the player base. Just musing and no concrete evidence LOL :D

Well, it's easier to discourage competition by subterfuge than win by delivering a better product. :)

....

Well..., let me say this to you all unemployed 24/7 players: ALOT of people have also a real life

.....

So hereby,
I invite all players to stop playing Elite,at least for a while. And take a pause.

I hereby invite ALL players to add you to their ignore list, at least for awhile. These threads need to take a pause... :p

This has been happening for years. This is the first time I got about it, because FDev ALWAYS punishes everyone, even those of us that don't solo-mode exploits. I'll admit I'm frustrated this time, bit at least it's dependable. I was having some trouble finding a good revenue source after 3.0 (I also hate that after years, every patch means relearning how to stay ahead) and usually when I'm hurting I turn to surface missions and skimmers (which I usually enjoy), so it sucks that (as per usual) FDev yanked them because (as per usual) thousands of exploiters flocked to solo mode a glitch they saw on youtube, it goes back to one thing:

You exploiters did this, FDev responded.

YOU are to blame, Mr. Exploiter.

I forgive you, but I'm not frustrated enough to shelf what is still the best VR experience running today. Plus, if I didn't come home and Space Plane, I'd do something productive, and I'm not there, yet.
