We need More SRV types already!

I feel like they made the current SRV too good to warrant others. Let's say if they made one with no weapons and more cargo space, or one with no cargo space and better armor/shields/weapons that would be cool.

We need a skimmer SRV since it's a real drag driving the SRV in VR. We also need one that holds some cargo - What idiot at Frontier thought 2t was sufficient?

Long overdue really.

Specialised materials analyser and collector SRV. Much better scanner that can tell you what type of ore is in which direction and its composition. Mining beam can extract 2x more material than basic SRV. Can also long range scan cannisters and contents.

As to how to fit the larger SRVs in our ships, I'd suggest that (for example) a SRV bay which currently holds 2 standard SRVs could also fit 1 medium size SRV instead. A large bay could hold 4 standard SRVs, 2 medium (or 2 std and 1 med), or 1 large SRV.

Spider(tank): This one would not have wheels but actual walking legs. Slow tank but can move in weird ways such as climbing vertically and or utilizing magnetic reverberator as grappler to scale walls or sides of ships. The magnetic reverberator would also be a tool for assembly(aka ship repair) as well as what you’d expect from a defencive unit(Railgun).

Centipede(hauler/miner): Collapsable frame that expands and deploys additional wheels with each explansion in a way simular to landing gear. The head would be equpped with mining lance that can act as moderate defense or cut into the ground. Unlike the other landing craft, this one comes with a limpit controller that collects mineral fragments or anything lootable nearby.

MINING SRV .... one which probes underground and locates minerals for mining. Then drops a drill rig for collection later.

It would be great to get a survey mission where you fly to a planet at xxx coordinates, take ariel photos of survey site. Land & deploy mining machine then go gather surface materiels in srv.
