Anyone else seen anything like this. This site scaned as organic but seems to be fumeroles but with huge crystals growing around the vents. Some of the vents have the usual crystaline clusters,needle crystals etc but they are also attached and can be harvested from the large free standing crystals. I think this is probably some kind of bugged site

Nope - pretty standard Crystalline Shard site - there are guides to farming them around, it's quite popular. (There are some bugs people have reported with them, but nothing you've described.
Those are great sites for farming the top level stuff, which will show up as crystalline clusters (no needles on the shards, but maybe on the vents?). However, the clusters shot off the crystals will sometimes disappear.
I have seen one combined site, where geo and bio signals overlapped. But usually these are bio sites with an added geo bonus.
