Welcome to the new and improved Frontier Forums! We're so happy to have you here.
Everything is now live and running on XenForo. All of our game forums are now together on one platform, and there are some great new features and improvements!

Here’s what you can expect from the new forums:

New Forum Features

  • Native Two-Factor support
  • Post reaction system - replaces the vBulletin reputation system
  • Push Notifications - get notified in seconds on your mobile or desktop
  • Rich link previews.
  • Post & Thread bookmarking
  • Auto-embed of social posts. Just place the URL in your post, boom - it's embedded!
  • Basic video upload and auto-embed support (limited to MP4, WEBM and OGG currently)
  • Sidebar widgets (on the right side)
  • Inline spoilers. When you tab or click on the text, it'll de-spoiler!
Here's a couple of features that are changing slightly on Xenforo (though the functionality/use remains the same!)

Reputation
Reputation on vBulletin does not exist as reputation on XenForo. Basically, reputation on the old forums has now been converted into post likes.

Emoticons/Smilies?
Smilies from the previous vBulletin are not included on Xenforo, as it natively supports emoticons.

Where is my signature picture?
XenForo does not support directly uploaded signature pictures. You will need to host the images elsewhere and then use the image function in the editor to link to them to your profile.

Why are attachments missing from various posts?
Numerous attachments that have not had any recent views have been removed from the attachments database. Attachments take up a huge portion of our forum storage, so we took this opportunity to clean up a little!

Uff, that was a rough start with the new Forum. It took me way over an hour just to log in. I forgot my password and tried the "forgot password" function but it didn't send me any Mails. I tried it quiet a few times, even with a different E-Mail (because that's what the FAQ suggested). Nothing. In the end I was reading around the Forum to see if anybody else had the same problem as me. I found someone and it turns out that there is a second link to a "forgotten password" site. A link I couldn't find on the initial log in page. After this it worked. So if anyone has the same problems, try this:

What a pain. I'm not really convinced about the new Forum now.
 
Ok, yesterday I needed over an hour to reset my password because the initial "forgot password" link didn't worked.
Today I tried to log in with my new password but it also didn't work.
Do I have to reset my password now every day just to log in?

To solve the problem i have re-made the registration XD now it seems it work

You should only need to recover your password once. If your attempts to reset your password aren't sticking can you reach out to our support team?
 
It's good to see we're back and to discover the changes.
It was a pain to get back in but once done, it's all fine. :)
(Had to register to acces this account on the forums.)


That said; I'm off to explore!
 
Funny how things change when you're a week away. ;)

I like the new clean and crisp look, so I guess congratulations ar in order here. :cool:
