Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Got into a bit of an argument with a brain tree. Was quite close to abandoning the SRV - only I couldn't get out of it. Fortunately the tree eventually relented and let me continue on my way.

So not only is this planet in hard vacuum with temperatures above 450 kelvin, and a disgusting yellow terrain, but the trees are both aggressive and made mostly of polonium.

I'm pretty sure I have a tan from both the nearby star and the local flora. Gonna need more than moisturiser to take the sting out of this one...

Roughly 1400ly from the bubble it's less than a 20 minute trip in a fast ship. (Admittedly most of the trees are not polonium, but evidently it is possible to find a jackpot with a little persistence.)

Looks worth a visit to see the landscape and brain trees. If I want raw materials I'll stick with crystal shards sites in HIP 36601 and Outotz LS-K D8-3 where between them we can get everything except Selenium, though. Also about 1400ly from the bubble.

Don't mind me, just scanning this haunting black grass under the light of the illumination beacon in the third level of hell.

By which I mean, a brown dwarf. Which oddly got so much brighter as I entered the atmosphere... Really, it was just a purple beach ball in space, but now it's this!

(All the flora here is black. I know it's logical, it should maximise it's absorption in a low light environment, but once again I consider that the thargoids evolved in this kind of atmosphere and feel like I know too much about how far they will go to survive.)

Also, the booby plant will never not be funny.

So yer saying that Polonium grows on trees there... Actually i'm one of those adepts of fruits gathering from these trees, it feels nice and relaxing, and i used to do it since i discovered they exist. I was sure only G2 stuff is growing on em though, till today, not that i really checked much of em... I have bookmarked Synuefe EN-H D11-106 6A & COL 173 Sector PF-E B28-3 B1 for my purpuses (750 ly from the center on the Bubble), they feature Manganese, Germanium, Zinc, Chrominium and Arsenic and i visit these gardens once in a couple of months when i start to lack raw G2. Mb not the fastest, but somehow i still never visited those rumored Crystal Shards forests. I think i'm off to check these Polonium fruits now...
