Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

That is one reason why I want to go there.

I do not have any real intention on using the black market. But as the Dweller seems to be quite fond of it and I want to meet him for a cup of tea/coffee/grog/whateverhotbeveragehemightenjoy...
Consumer Electronics is banned in systems controlled by Sacre Oculus. They don't have many black markets and they are the opposite side of the bubble from The Dweller, but if you really don't want to deal narcotics, look for factions like this.

Of course you'll need to bring it into the station without being scanned
I just looked for outposts with black markets - as long as they aren't military ones (which do have ships patrolling), you can breeze in with your illegal stash and no-one the wiser.

Don't under estimate the benefit of a charge enhanced power distributor to combat and multi purpose ships.
👆 This. Along with the cluster capacitors mod, it goes on all my ships. On all my accounts :D

I invariably go for supeprconduits experimental effect to speed up capacitor recharge rate. The could be an argument for cluster capacitors on a weapon focused power distributor designed for laser mining to make the capacitor last longer and run more mining laser until asteroid depletion.

Hmm, Ody is on sale in STEAM~! Should I pull the trigger? :devilish:
My third Alt is running from STEAm, working off the family carrier. works good.
It's good to work the skills up again from scratch, some tea bagging from the carrier involved.
If you are tea bagging the alts always remember to reset the sell price to max before you shut the session down.
I got done for a good amount of bauxite 9kt at 196crds a T. It was karma payback for tritium dumping to pay for the carrier ways back when....

I didn't have to go far to get the first sample of three of this lot. Was able to land right in amongst 'em.

Adventures from the black, found a little Argon moon with three bio-signs, now I'm leaving.

I know CMDRS talk about how big the Anaconda is, I can shoehorn it into some really tight places on manual. The landing gear is close together for such a large ship making it easy and the SRV bay is unmatched for access.

This is a little Ammonia moon with five bio-signs, I got me a fungus.

Water World with rings.

Landed to get some mats, thought this was a cool photo opp.

Something I do really like about the Anaconda is the easy in and out of the SRV. It just doesn't get any easier than that.

I wonder if one would be able to park the 'Conda on the edge of a cliff...
Yes. I've done it.

Where you have big issues with the Anaconda is on rocky, uneven terrain. Even in manual mode you have to rotate, inch forward and backward and side to side before you can find a place that's "Stable" to sit her down.

Smaller ships don't have that problem nearly as much.

But to be fair, I probably had that issue once every 20 planets I landed on at most. It's not as bad as some say unless you hit a streak of planets with really rocky, uneven terrain.

Then it can be frustrating.
