Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

This is my favorite Osseus, I like the strange patterns on it.

My Alt just came across these on the way back to Colonia in a prediscovered neutron system - tbh i don't think i recall coming across this colour Blue before ...there's another that has been footfalled, but a third moon with three promising biosigns here... i'm heading back to base now ;]

Hi All :)

I had to have a chuckle to myself just now. I looked at a system I discovered ages ago which is over 4000ly away from the bubble. It's a fairly large system with about 98 bodies in the system, gas giants, water giants, Atmos planets etc.
Anyway, in the colonisation mode on the galmap menu there's 130 possible planet based stations, and roughly 70 orbitals. :ROFLMAO:. I was trying to roughly calculate how long it would take me to build all those stations as a Solo player....Na! :ROFLMAO:

A message (Brewer Corp) came up on my in game inbox message menu yesterday telling me my first Coriolis station has just paid me 65,325 cr, so the station seems to be doin' something, I'll have to nip over to that system and see whats happening with the station. I need to get this second claimed system Outpost finished first though. 60% built so not too long to go now.

Ah! your pictures are interesting....

Another first for ages - Electricae. Pluma Magenta in this case:

I've not seen many Electricae on my travels, certainly not these types. What type of planets / systems am I more likely to find these on or in?

Jack :)

Electricae are rather rare indeed, particularly these Pluma variants - iirc this is only the second or third time i’ve come across them in the wild… they occur only on icy worlds afaik, typically with Neon or Argon atmospheres - you’ll find them alongside Bacteria & Fonticulua, most often the Radialem variant… though my data is minimal, there might just be a link with Neutron systems for the Plumae - there are some on an ice moon in V886 Centauri* if you’d like to check them out without having to travel too far :)

*might be advisable to go there in solo/group if in an exploration ship - i’ve heard that system can get fairly frisky in open^

To add, I think I've only seen them on those icy planets around an F or G type star.

I will only go planet side to scan them if the planet is reported as having three (or more) possible bios and are considered > 10mCR in the threshold I've set in EDEB.
