Told my kids about Monkey, including Tripitaka, over breakfast the other day. I showed them a video of the opening credits on my 'phone. They collectively looked at me as though I was actually born in a rock up a mountain many centuries ago.Well, you see something new every day. About two jumps from Shin is a system called "Tripitaka". I should stop Monkey-ing around.

Don't feel bad. I get about the same reaction when discussing the things I grew up with around kids who think The Regular Show is the height of cartoons.
"Monkey" was always a high-point of the the end of school-day television entertainment! They don't know what they are missingI can still hear "The nature of Monkey was irrepressible !!" very clearly in my head when thinking about the titles

Will do, thank you. There was something 'The Water Margin' which I used to enjoy at the time, too.Have a look on YouTube and Netflix, search terms like Journey To The West or Monkey King. There are some quite good (some not so good but fun) adaptations of Monkey around.

And for animation there are so many classics. Even the older dirivitive stuff like the many Scoobie Doo clones HB made over the years are far superior to what kids watch these days. Heck, even the shows for young kids were better. At the very least they didn't rot your brain.
Had a bit of a massacre in the kitchen earlier when my youngest managed to get their hands on one of the carrot slime bags and sprayed the thing empty over the entire length of the kitchen counter, where I also had a little pile of clean laundry stacked. I don't think I'm going to manage to squeeze in my hour of ED this evening.![]()
My SO dropped by five minutes after writing and offered to switch places. Lucky break. Flying as I'm writing this.Yikes! Wait, carrot slime?!
Still, always annoying when real life interferes. Then again, real life always takes priority IMO.

Holy moly. Yeah I think you win.Lucky you. I'm dealing with far too many things which cropped up in the last hour. All of which mean I can't focus on ED.
EDIT: One of which is a horrific crash from the bathroom as the ceiling did in fact give out due to water damage.
