Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Sent a few days surveying a site i found which is perfect (in my view) for sports, from novice to intermediate, sprint to marathon canyon racing,
SRV geyser jumping and cliff diving, .It's a low G planet,so damage will be light Easily spotted from the air, ample parking, and all within 5 ly of Sag A*.

Next time you're passing though, if you have time to visit, i'd appreciate any feedback.

Carriers are cross-platform, aren't they? Post your whereabouts on this thread from time to time and I'm sure the odd grateful forum member would lob some Tritium in the hopper for you.

Very kind of you! :) I'm on the move shortly, but I'll post my whereabouts at some point.

And - if anywone is nearby and needs refuel, repair and rearm, I'm open to anyone landing on The Tyres O'Faherty for a top up. All are welcome.

I finally found a metallic ring just now - haven't had one for ages - and the pulse quickened with the thought of some loverly painite lasering. So, I get to the planet, a massive sombrero of a ringed monster:

Look at all those notspots! And no painites whatsoever :D

I'm off for a cup of tea and a nice lay down.

Gah again! I don’t appear to even have a single Guardian module segment from the fun I had out on HD63154... 🤬

back into the DBX to go again then.In the meantime, I’ve ditched the burning station without even checking if it had stopped burning - nice view tho:

I am heading to around TIR, currently about these parts Blae Drye IO-O d7-50.
A good load of Tritium, hoping to deliver to FC's for stupid prices. :) Happy to divert to some where if needed...
looks like I get bored every ten to fifteen FC jumps and have to explore.
Found these, a first for me....big init...I did not know they also produce raw mats, some G5 too..

Might not make it to TIR , found an FC paying good crds, two Fc jumps to the left. .....and then the Thursday tick happens half way to getting my[their] fortune...

Server Broadcast tried to kill me this morning.I was on final approach when the message popped up.White lettering on a light blue background is not a good combination for legibility and the split seconds it took me to recognise the import of the message distracted my attention from the task in hand sufficient to ensure that my impact on the planetary surface was destined to be calamitous and only good fortune and some pretty nifty manoeuvres allowed me to survive with 3% hull intact. (it was high 90's previously).Only my vast expeience of planetary impacts allowed me to walk away with my dignity intact. :giggle:

So another “good landing” congratulations.

At least you had a decent excuse, all my recent litho-braking incidents were much more embarrassing if nowhere near so damaging.

We set off from Jameson Memorial this morning and just landed at the Mammon Monitoring Facility for a coffee and comfort stop. Yes, I'm on the way to Colonia, more specifically Canonnia actually. I'm going to be setting up at Arcanonn's Legacy for a while to do some research in and around the region.

I've heard the rumblings of unrest in Colonia and hope we're not flying into a potential warzone but this expedition has been planned for a while now and we couldn't easily postpone it. For a research & exploration ship the "Carpe Crustulum" can hold it's own if we do get into any scrapes, certainly long enough to initiate a 'Brave Sir Robin' manouvre. My assistant Brooklyn is also an Elite level fighter pilot in her own right and we do have a precautionary plasma-armed Taipan in the hangar.

We'll probably be stopping and scanning along the way if anything interesting crops up so not sure of our eventual ETA but I will check in again when we reach the colony.

I'm continuing toward the core. The sky looks quite strange and interesting where I am. I haven't seen anything quite like it before.

I discovered an interesting little system. Two of the planets have Biological signals which I must investigate. And there is a Metallic ring that I'd like to check out.

I decided to take a look at one of the Biological sites first. It's on a ringed planet, with 4.04G. That's actually the most gravity I've attempted to land under.

I was very cautious and actually had no problem at all. Didn't even scratch the paint.

The landscape was exceptionally alien looking, I think -- worth the effort. I'll check out the other sites another day.
