It's the name of an old (started end of the 90s) video player for Windows.

They are called "installations" - there are some very interesting ones and some that invoke a deadly response from naval forces if you approach too close.

No need for that - you can have fun flying through some of them and some have interesting advertising etc. Some are used for missions against minor-factions I believe (I have not done any of those). Even the near-death experiences at some of the "listening stations" in the Pleiades were fun, as long as you have a high-wake plotted for escape.
I don't know, but things are a little tense in imp space at the moment so they're currently.on high alert.

Now that I'm across Hawking's Gap, though, the star density is starting to pick up. I really like a sky full of stars, y'know? It'll only get denser from here, too.

Found a Tri2 spot... at first, the going was tough but then the RNG started to work in my favour. I'll be popping back to stock up some more later!

No way i'm returning to bubbletown. It has taken me years to get this far, and i'm not leaving when it's all about to kick off here. No blinking of an eye for me.
Just my bad luck to get here around the time carriers were introduced,.Dame Fortune can seem a fickle minx at times,but she has been good to me in at least equal measure,so you'll hear no complaints from me.
Regards cutters, i've never really bothered. I'm lucky enough to have found 'my' ship in the game early on and we've been together ever since. I occasionaly slip on a different hull for variety, and to give the plant a rest and a service.I understand the best way to get a cutter is through the trading route but i chose exploration, 'cos it's what i do.
