You could always harvest the Tritium when you have exhausted all the higher value minables.

And I'm also hoping I can cash in my holidays so I can buy a nice new graphics card and power supply prior to Odyssey. I only have a 1050Ti right now and I don't know if my little Dell Inspiron can handle the game properly
I don't need anything fancy though. I just wanna go one step up so I can have raytracing and stuff. After that, I'll build a custom PC from scratch.
I think I've fixed the stoopid bingely-bongely sound on the PC. Fingers crossed.

Nope.
It's full on ganking I'm afraid.
I've got as far as:
Not Bluetooth.
Not Powersaving stuff.*
All programs off, all devices off.
If I turn the Internet connection off, it stops. Internet on, it starts again.
I'd be happy to just turn the disconnect/connect sound off for now but when it happens during game there are slight pauses, can't be ignored.
*Probably not fully exhausted this avenue of investigation yet.
Edit: OMAGAWD it's just done it with the interwebz turned off! Aaaaaaaaaaagh!

Is it the device connected/disconnected bing bong?
Are you using a sound card or on-board-mobo sound?
Have you tried a different sound profile?
You could try a Windows refresh - although I'd personally dread doing that.
I'm wondering if you have a dodgy USB socket.
Is there a way you can record the sound and post it up somewhere so we can hear it?
Trouble is with these things is the irritation could be almost anywhere... wishing you luck!
