What can we expect for the next major DLC ( If there is another one)

So what can we expect for the next major DLC or maybe just another Dino pack?

i think we will get a Dino pack sometime in march next year. But no clue what the next major DLC would be now that we got Return To Jurassic Park

I think with Steggs leaving is a sign that frontier is winding down JWE. I don't think we will see a significant xpac after return to JP. I can, however, see them releasing more paid dinosaur packs or maybe decorations in a free patch (which is wishful thinking) I would like to see at least two or three more patches before the next-gen consoles hit the market in 2020. Come 2021; we can hope to see the development or release of JWE2. With the new platforms the graphics enhancements and processing power we may see breeding where we can have a self sustained ecosystem And a possible pack hunting mechanic added.

First off, Steggs was a Community manager, not a DEVELOPER. It has nothing to do nor does it indicate any sign, that Frontier is winding down on Developing JWE. Stop spreading false assumptions like this. Otherwise we have the reddit and this forum full of crybabys again who scream "wah wah the game is dead wah wah no update in 1 months time wah wah" Educate yourself on what the difference between a Community manager and a developer is. And btw, we do get chanté, Bo and Paul back.

That's kind of a dumb question really... I mean, it's not like anyone knew what was coming before they revealed Secrets of Dr. Wu...

Personally, I'd hope for an expansion pack that actually addressed the game's many problems... but if the last few packs are anything to go by, the best we could hope for is more of the same... again...

If anything, for another major DLC, it would definitely be Jurassic World saga theme focused. 3+ dino pack DLCs are almost certain for next year, and there are some feasible types I can think of, but when it comes to new "BIG" story DLCs, they would most definitly be JW themed. If it's going to be a character focused DLC, which two of the three story DLCs have been, Owen Grady seems like a perfect choice. Ian and Cabot, I'm not really sure of though, currently. If it's not character focused, it might deal with some non-dinosaur stuff like Mosasaurus, JW style aviaries (though they might have a chance for a free update, but that really depends), or Ice Age mammals (which, personally, I don't think so, considering the direction this game goes for, but still), or something like that.

I don't think we will see a Cenozoic DLC; it would be cool. Aquatic I can see it if they make it similar to the aviary where you build the lagoon and then fill it with creatures. I would like to see some feathered dinosaurs (unfortunately that breaks with canon) possible a Triassic or Jurassic dinosaur pack would be cool to go with the Cretaceous. now that they have added non dinosaur reptiles In the aviary, I would like to see the dimetrodon an early non dinosaur.

I can see a pterosaur based one with a few more fliers and, possibly, the increase in genetic options for them.

With the compy, we might get the Micro as another tiny dinosaur, potentially with a ranger upgrade to help deal with the tiny ones (I'd like net guns where they can capture tiny dinosaurs and would slow the medium sized ones).

I'm expecting a DLC centered around Owen as well, and I've got an idea for one centered on him with a training/enrichment mechanic...

I would like Frontier to mention his route map for JWE to be clear about it. Hopefully develop a JWE2 for 2021 or 2022, but very well done, with all the mechanics that have been discussed in these forums. If this new game has all the mechanics we request, I buy them without thinking.

I'll welcome whatever comes. I already got every major wish I had in this DLC. Would love to see more decorations (those logs on reddit look fantastic), AI fixes (particularly clipping) and animations.

I'll be pretty incensed if JWE2 doesn't start with the Jurassic Park stuff.
It doesn't matter how genuine a leak with loads and loads of information is. Anyone can make anything up regardless of intentions, and things can change over time when they can.

Honestly, Gabe, the leaker got it all pretty much right at this point. I really hope JWE won't be abandoned to that extreme but... given that a sequel was indeed mentioned, people keep screaming to spend another 60 bucks on it regardless with 0 critics along the way, and mods are currently at work (meaning I don't think they can have so easy cash-grabing out of dino packs), I don't really expect 2020 to be a good year for this game.

As always, I'd love to be proven wrong, because I still thing there are so many things to fix and improve here, such as dinosaur AI, interconnectable stations, extra flying species and eventually marine... but not really hopeful, as I say.

Then you might want to look at what I posted on the Off-Topics forums. But I will tell you now, it's incredibly long and heavy in detail.

Reality is full of surprises, Alan.

Whatever the DLC is, I hope it's much less story-focused and much more park-building focused. One of the issues of the base game is that the main story is boring. I don't want to speak on everyone's behalf, but I didn't care about the characters or the story, I just wanted to build a park with dinosaurs.

RTJP improved on this. It was an easy 4 to 5 hour playthrough, which allowed me to quickly unlock everything to use in the other modes. No boring story that I had to drudge through. I hope this continues with the next DLC's.

People constantly ask for road maps like they just ignore what Frontier said. They don't do road maps.

I don't think we will be seeing any new major DLC's. I think RTJP is the end of the road. That doesn't mean we can't see any new updates or more smaller DLC's ;ole dino packs and so on. Of course that doesn't mean we won't be getting any new major DLC. If we do I doubt it will be as frequent. Maybe 1 more before the whole major DLC idea gets put aside.

They have a lot they could build on. Improvements to the game, more dinosaurs, more JP themed stuff. I mean the JW part of the game has a lot while the JP side only has a few things. Maybe they could do skin packs?

I think we would be more likely to see them build on what they already have. The base game sold really well and I am sure all the DLC's did as well. I don't see them just abandoning the game. They know they have a cash cow on their hands.
