Well well well, guess whos it again?
Got another good session in today between church and my little bros bday celebration, during which i showed him my zoo.
According to him, my best habitats are the gorillas, especally thd climbing framd, the finished part of the bongo, waterbuffalo and capybara enclosure and the otters as the only finished one with this as his favorive shot of the zoo, walking along the bridge from the otters towards the view of the gorillas was my best work in his opinion and im enclined to agree..
But besides showing him my zoo he also got to wish for some animals to be put in.
He really, really, really liked the exhibit animals and because i had an empty shot with an ugly expansion of the armadillo enclosure i started to work on two exhibits, while his habitat animal wish of komodo dragon now is in the back of my head for a future reptile house or similar.
I spend agonisingly long just trying to place the exhibits in a way that didnt suck but once i was happy with that building was surprisingly smooth and lets just say im proud of it.
Still a bit rough around the edges with maybe some more foliage and defenetly some implied signage being needed for the pitcher plant, raflesia and the exhibit animals themselfs, who im not gonna mention now as a challange if you can spot them. I choose one thats imo relativly good on the visibility side and so far im not dissapointed.
The right side and back drop in the exhibit itself are propaply gonna be the content of on of my next sessions.
I had a surprising amount of fun, with propaply the most covering the wall running through the right side of the tank, whose end i could conveniently cover with the tree in the middle.
It really reminded me of my faux exhibits in my old zoo and how much fun i had building the back wall and while it is very finicky, its also very satisfying as you normaly dont really get to working in such detail. I also luckily had one of the animals spawn right next to it, so i could activly work around the spawnpoint to not cover it, making it looks surprisingly "useable". I wish there was a function to highlight all spawn points, which while a bit immersion breaking, would really help to plan around that without just pumping in a ton of animals and hoping to get lucky with the spawns appearing at the places where you want to change stuff.
And thats it, ngl this was a far more satisfying time building around an exhibit and while it still made trouble with its sheer size, it atleast mostly fit inside the building this time, which is nice.
Looks far far better and also took in a good amound of space that i now dont have to decorate by hand, win win
