Well after a good sit down of 2-3 hours I have made some significant progress in my Tasmanian devil habitat. Outside area will be done later tonight, and tomorrow begins the journey of the night house.
Quell that pond looks so good! The aligator habitat also looks nice. You really came a long way and its great to seeWell howdy y'all. Welcome to a very special VIP tour of Moonshine Ranch. We've made some progress in our little corner of the WZO, so let's get on with the show, shall we, y'all?
First of all, we had an open area right behind our resident porcupines. We had many discussions about how to wisely use this open space, such as housing red foxes, expanding the porcupines, and even a restaurant. But in the end, we went ahead and decided to help support our local wildlife by building a pond and letting it grow over:

Ain't that pretty? Our local critters, like terrapins, snakes, and frogs, will have a place to breed, eat, and live out their scaly (and amphibious) lives. We think that we probably made the best decision...
And next up, our slightly improved gator pond. We just obtained 2 more leucistic gators, a male and a female, from 2 separate breeders that didn't want them.

Unfortunately, when we put them in with our resident family, our bull be ame extremely territorial and threatened the rest. Unfortunately, it was either him or the white gators, but ultimately, we sent him to a wildlife rehabilitation center to get him released into the wild while we kept the white gators. Our pool now has a trio of 3 white American alligators, a male and 2 females.

In order to protect them from the sun, we built a shade structure for them, and we may have to provide a 2nd one, but we'll be keeping an eye on things for now.

And finally, we'd like to welcome a brand new baby in our zoo:

Say hello to Percival, or Percy, as well call him. He's sure to bring some silly antics here at the zoo.
Thank y'all for visiting the zoo. With y'all's support, we can help to provide a wonderful experience here as well as support the World Zoo Organization. Stay tuned for future announcements; it may be opening a new facility in Australia...
Thanks, but I actually didn't make the pond; I downloaded it. And the shade structureQuell that pond looks so good! The aligator habitat also looks nice. You really came a long way and its great to see![]()
This is inspiring to me because I happen to be building an all Australian zoo now, so this'll gimme some ideas for what to do next. Really cool, AramarI worked on the second area of my zoo: Marsupial road (who knew years ago that we would be able to create a full area only with marsupials?). It's hard to take screenshots because of all the trees, but I'll try to show something.

The first habitat you find along the road is a shared one with red kangaroos and red-necked wallabies.

There's a small backside area too in case an animal needs to be isolated.
