This is the first time i’ve built a barn, and I gotta say, it’s super fun.
I may use it for inspiration. Imma update some little things here and there for Moonshine Ranch, then perhaps do a virtual tour of the place and upload it on my channel. I have a few barns, but the interior detail isn't 100%, more like 35% a barnWhy thank you Mr. Quell! It’s probably why it took me two days

Following in the footsteps of the greatests artists, like George Lucas, today I did a quick comeback to my earlier work in order to improve (or at least update) it. My first habitat in the Hotspots Project, representing Madagascar, had two small buildings as entrances to the lemur island. I was inspired by Malagasy architecture, and built them both with the South American bamboo set, athough one of them had the palm thatched roof and the other the palm one.

But Malagasy architecture is much more diverse than what I could do back then, and has a lot of Austronesian influence, obviously... Then as soon as the Oceanian DLC came I saw it had the perfect wall set that I needed! So I chose one of the entrance buildings and I changed every bamboo wall piece with its Oceanian theme equal, nothing really more, but it matches much more one of the pictures I had used back then as a source of inspiration: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bamboo_House_in_Sambava_Madagascar.JPG

Today I’m got some work to do on my Asian zoo.
I have 3 areas. The temperate section for all my temperate Asian animals using East Asian theme. The SEA area which was remade earlier this year to accommodate the Indonesian Scenary from the tropical dlc.
And I have a section built into a mountain built with the rocky East Asian theme to represent taiga themes as well as Mongolia and himalaya.
That section has received very little development these last couple of years.
I added camels on the bottom, snow leopards and Himalayan bears on opposite sides of the main building and waited. Eventually added lynx to the mountain side. P horses to the bottom opposite of the camels. A restaurant in the viewing building and hoped one day north Asia would get some rep soon.
Now with wolverines Saiga and takin in the cards, I say it’s safe to begin development of new habitats and increasing the size of the viewing building. Who knows what the other animals will be but for now I got projects in development for Rising Sun Zoo.

And of course the day before pack announcement, zoo crashes. Tried it 15 times, nothing.

I haven’t had a chance to play planet zoo today, because I am at work. Buuut it’s a very slow day so all I’ve done is read the forums, discord and watched YouTube discussions on the DLC. I’ve rearranged my wishlist (so far this DLC is bringing one of my top 10, a top 20 and two top 30 animals for me!). And I looked up ideas for sloth bear habitats.

But thank you for sharing, as it reminds me I need to make a safety copy of Unity.
Monthly reminder to have more than one save file, I don't have 15+ seperate saves for my zoos for nothing! All it takes is a misclick on the save button, an overwrite on the wrong file or a system hiccup to corrupt your single file to wipe all progress.
If verifying the game files on steam comes back fine and you don't have a backup save, fear the worst.

Yeah i learned that the hard way. Some stuttering while saving the game and oops whole zoo gone
Looking back and how i improved starting fresh propaply was a good idear anyways, but man i still miss my old zoo

I have like 6 different back ups for my zoo, I tried loading all of them a couple times each, the loading screen pauses for a while then crashes.
