What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Despite me having the day off I didn’t spend a lot of time on PZ and was on Fall Guys most of the day lol but I did manage to make some structural improvements. Expanded the building adding another branch for future animals (coming in next pack maybe? ), redid the roof so it uses way less pieces, made a second entrance to the house and planned where the next enclosure will be - and it will definitely be one of the biggest ones yet.

The red outline is the actual enclosure and the green will be a lookout area. Got a vision for this one so shouldn’t have too much difficulty for what to do.

Been trying to dive back into the game by redoing a bunch of stuff from the zoo I've been working on since Oceania (I wasn't too happy with how it turned out lol). Slowly chipping away at the entry plaza/general area and decided I wanted to draw up some lil' banners!

Gonna make some more later and prolly edit these ones a tad (not entirely happy with them either lol, especially the kiwi). For now there's just a whole lotta kiwi as placeholders:

Thank you so much!! Yeah, I drew them in Clip Studio Paint. I just stacked a few of the square billboards on top of each other (tried the posters from the gift shop but they always crop lol) :>

Today I started looking at areas of my zoos where petting zoo would be appropriate
My NA zoo has a section called New England which has 3 animals: moose, beavers and grey seals. I had a small plot of land available next to the grey seal habitat, I decided to move away the gift shop and relocate the seals to make way for a future petting zoo.
Now I want add some workshop blueprints and see what a petting zoo could theoretically look like. One dlc is released, I will use new scenic pieces to replace temporary workshop builds

Or better yet, they should be made with every species in the game and uploaded to the workshop!

Thank you sm!! Honestly going through and drawing the game's roster would be a pretty fun project. Can't guarantee I'd ever finish it lmao, but I'll keep it in mind! If there's enough interest I might as well upload them without the text/logo for people to use. :>

Decided to get a few more in before I head to bed, an African bush elephant (I know there aren't any left in Oceania but I had to include them in this zoo, I love them too much), a capybara, and a kororā. :>

Made some edits to the kiwi too. It only occurred to me after I put it in that it reminded me of something that I can't say on the forums lol (maybe my mind is just twisted or maybe kiwi just kinda look that way sometimes), it was driving me insane so I had to change it so it's less prominent lmao. Maybe I'll just redo it entirely from scratch if it keeps bothering me. .

In preparation for the barnyard pack, I'm building a bunch of farm themed props for the workshop! A lackluster range of proper farm theming for especially buildings convinced me there will be a sizeable need for some realistic farm blueprints so starting off with an american style farmhouse today.

I used rocks to decorate the walls of the second exhibition area of my Chinese Cat House to make them look more natural and for the cats to move up and take advantage of the high spot.

I love that roofless view. I'm sometimes tempted to leave my indoor houses without bothering to build a roof, but the light is too different and it doesn't feel 100% right.
