What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I showed my mixed savannah habitat some weeks ago, but the indoor giraffe shelter wasn't finished uuntil now. It's nothing crazy, but here you have some pics.

After not playing the game for a few days, finally found some motivation again to work on my zoo. I've started the afternoon working on the African penguin exhibit, which I decided to build in an open space in my Africa section. In the beginning of the week I already had made the outline of the exhibit and started on the nesting spots for the penguins.

The water filtration was already there before I even got the idea of making a penguin exhibit, but since it was next to the exhibit I put it more in the spotlight. The exhibit is still not finished, but feeling happy with how it starts to look. Also had some ideas for the indoor part, where they also will have a small pool

And finally an overview of my zoo so far, which is basicly the entrance + African section. FPS is now dropping to 35-45 most of the times, so I think when the last exhibits are finished I will continu the paths I have, but will destroy all the exhibits (of course keep them in another save) and make the next area. But before I can do that, there is still a lot of work to do! While it looks like I have a lot, currently still none of the exhibits is finished. I also need to do two/three exhibits completely. 1 will be a double exhibit for the okapi and 2 will be a shared exhibit for bongos and red river hogs. Also the indoor exhibit for the African wild dogs (3) needs to be done almost completely.

The path on the top will most likely lead to a plaza where a restaurant/giftshop will be with a reptile house and the barnyard pack animals, together with some guest houses, which guests can book to stay the night in our zoo!

I continued working on the revamped entrance area of Biopark today. After finishing the petting zoo, prairie dog and wallaby habitats, the next part was the insect/butterfly garden. Really happy with the result. I just need to incorporate the three exhibits for European reptiles/amphibians in the background in a nice looking way and add a fake outdoor habitat for the tortoises.

I'm coming closer to completion of the area, next up is the interior of the conservation centre/zoo school (the roundish building visible in the background of the exhibits).

After 3 days of work, my first barn area is finished.
okay, to be honest, it’s not enterly finished, the habitat for llamas and alpacas is not finish yet. But I really wanted to go on and build for some Wild animals. But the main part of the barn is finished.

Not a tractor or static birds, I finally built some more progress in the houston zoo, since I'll share the habitats on the dedicated thread, here's a look at the static fish tanks in the indoor building. Mostly south american freshwater fish such as piranha and pacu along with some stingrays and electric eels, There is also a moon jellyfish tank with purple lighting and a very piece heavy coral reef tank using the excellant coral blueprints from the workshop.

That's definitely the Carruth Natural Encounters building. A shame that they're gonna eventually tear it down, but at least they'll replace it with Asia/Madagascar (according to the renovation plans)

Could be a while away though, I've been reading on zoochat that one of the knowledgeable houston members says development after birds of the world opening later this year is slowing down. Gives me a chance to catch up before they start tearing stuff down again 😂

It is, actually. If I'm not mistaken, it was supposed to open last fall, but now it's been delayed to this coming fall

Made a bit progress on the Madagascar House.
I had problems with the pathfinding of the staff, at first I thought my zoo was buggy until I realized I was a stupid idiot. I have these barriers under the logs so that the guests don't walk over the plant bed... yeah, let's not talk about it...

Been working some more in my black forest park today. Doing alot of different things simultaneously like revamping my entrance area and petting zoo, building the wolf habitat and starting to work on the parking lot and entrance, so all of them are like half finished but not ready to show yet.
But the view from the castle ruin up on the mountainside is getting pretty sweet.
