What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Thank you very much ☺️
Everyone has their own specialty, I also envy @Marvinb attention to detail and @Aramar ambition to finish building zoos. Maybe we should make a community zoo together, I think it will be absolutely amazing in the end.
You guys should absolutely do that. I’m constantly impressed by you three individually so I can only image what you could do together.

I just finished another zoo

I don't have any pics but I'm currently adopting all the animals for my "Domestication Zoo" idea I had. I'm going to build exhibits around domestic animals and their wild ancestors to show the differences between them that domestication caused for example Timber Wolves next to some of the domestic dog breed mods, cows next to the European Aurochs mod (just pretend I cloned them back from extinct or something like the de-extinction companies are trying to do right now), donkeys next to the Somali Wild Ass,etc. Speaking of, is it allowed to post screenshots of mods in a zoo we made? I think I remember reading somewhere that we can't but I can't find a rules thread anywhere to confirm if it is against the rules.

There is the heck cattle, which is an attempt to "breed back" the aurochs, which atleast looks pretty similar. So you could use the aurochs mod to represent the heck cattle which in turn stands in for the aurochs 😄

Kelbrook City Zoo has proudly welcomed Sloth Bears Miles (the male Albino) and Krisha (the female) back. I don't know why, but I really struggled with builders' block with this enclosure. I'm not going to show off the indoor of the house yet as I'm going to do that when I build the spectacled bears next door. But, I thought I show off this because I am so stupidly happy that I managed to build something😅:

This is where the Sloth bears are, and where I am currently rebuilding as part of the huge refurbishment project:

I might be struggling but this space is very slowly being filled. I am also slowly replacing the black path with the new and brighter orange/brown path and recoloring those areas into the new theme. But slow progress is good progress 🙂

Looks very realistic, I look forward to the day when it is completed.

Thank you 🙂 I'm trying to make this zoo as realistic as I can. Especially now that I'm doing some refurbishments. This new bear section might be finished in 2 days or a week (depending on how inspired I feel) and I'll make sure to post it.

As for when the enitre zoo is going to be finished....I honestly don't know when that will be. This zoo has always been a project to see how much I can build on one map with as much detail as I can. Currently the zoo is standing at a large 67 or 65 enclosures and all exhibits apart from the sloth and fruit bat walk throughs. I'm hoping to beat my current largest zoo that is 70 enclosures. However, that one doesn't have space requirements or as much detail like this one does so technically in terms of Land used Kelbrook is the largest zoo I've ever made.

My "Disney" themed zoo starts to get more shape. Rafiki has two islands and an indoor part, which he shares with two females. Timon can create his own family and can visit his friend Pumbaa from time to time. There is also an aviary, for Zazu (since it is a mod, it won't be visible in the future on this forum). Also the insects, which they eat from the tree in the movie, will be represent! Giant tiger land snails and goliath beetles will be in the building where also some of the animals have their indoor shelters. The big final is still to come however. Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed will be on the other side of the building and split by a bridge you can also see the wildebeest. They will share an exhibit with helmeted guineafowl (mod). Since it will be a local zoo, I won't be having lions as they would be expensive and would need a lot of space. I'm trying to fit in as much as possible on a small area. Therefore a lot of animals who can live in smaller exhibits.

I was thinking to present Asia according the Jungle Book. A single Indian leopard, sloth bears, walkthrough vulture aviary, python exhibit (have to use a fake one) and orangutans. But also here to "save" space centering a large building with the indoor exhibits and the outdoor exhibits around the building.

Recently I was playing with my Australian zoo. Did some renovations to the SEA section and my Oceania section and I’m not sure how to proceed.
This how the zoo functions (I’d like to get an app to make a map):
Welcome center: Australian theme, exhibits, food, etc. 2 crocodile habitats, AWM and ASCO. Aviaries I made and a potential Perentie habitat.
Outback: Australian themed with all Australian animals including T devils and camels.
SEA: Australian theme with SEA animals of my pick. My butterfly WTE gets crowded, somehow I don’t like this section anymore.
Oceania section: mostly Oceania theme. I have a nocturnal house using the Australian metal theme which I’m debating moving. There’s the kiwis, little blues. I recently moved the dholes out of the section leaving a big void.

I made 2 habitats, one for a hopeful New Zealand fur seal and another that I just made using Oceania pieces. I ended up putting wild boars there.
I’m wanting to do some serious renovations to the SEA section but want to keep the Australian theme. Currently trying to figure it all out.

Instead of building a new spectacled bear enclosure in Kelbrook Zoo like I originally planned. I refurbished the inside of the Jaguar and Amur Leopard cages instead. First are the Jaguars since I am super happy with how they turned out. I used the Jetty platforms and even though they aren't climbable they are a great way to add a little bit of extra space:

The Amur Leopards meanwhile didn't have that much of a refurbishment, I just changed the climbing structure but I thought I'd show it off anyway (The leopards can go on top of the shader inside the enclosure, it was the only way past me could cheat for more space for them😅):

That's really cool. How many pieces did you need to create the logo? :D
