What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

It really is a nice and realistic habitat, @mikek21 ! I also think some rocks and more plants will help with the landscaping, because the terraforming itself looks good :)

I used today to do a lot of breeding and animal management and I also filled a gap in the zoo where I didn't want to have a habitat. I used the amazing carousel by Paulsley to connect those two loose ends.

I'm really glad I didn't start the reptile house, because I have some trouble making more money right now. The finances are stable, but not increasing. I'm afraid I have to let more guests in, but I try to keep an eye on the performance. So hopefully when I expand with the new DLC, I'll be able to build more shops and have them spend more money.

It doesn't lag much if you have a Layout that distributes the Guests good throughout the Zoo (unless you have something like the Penguin Colony with almost 500 Birds in my Research Center 😂)

My tropical zoo is coming along nicely. I made this waterfall yesterday which is by the entrance and I'm quite happy with it (it's not finished just yet). I haven't put in any new animals, but I think I'll do that today.

Excited for tomorrow! Can't wait to see all the content creators play with this pack. I always love when we get bombarded with new videos whenever a pack releases. :giggle:

I'm absolutely in Love with the Pond in the first Picture. It's absolutely great

Yesterday evening I finished two more timed scenarios - Kaarst Mire and Cophaga Park. The Cophaga was really stressful and I had to restart it once, but I finally got gold on both of these scenarios, so I should get the sweet flamingo and crocodille statues tomorrow.

Still missing Red Barn, but hopefully that should be much more pleasant experience. Excited what the two new ones will bring.

Wow, two gold medals! Congratulations! Tell me your secret 😁
Thanks :)

For the Kaarst Mire - I was quite affraid of this one, because of the elevated paths, but I managed to win this one somehow by playing by their rules and continued with the elevated paths.

On the Cophaga - When I tried to use the terraces, I failed horribly and had to restart. The second time, I deleted everything on the map, flattened the terrain and build on that, worked amazing and had around 15 minutes left still. I also played these mostly on the fastest speed so animals were breeding faster so I had some to release to wild and improve the conservation rating which then helped to get the stars objective.

Still depends on the size, my zoo is relatively small. So from a certain number of guests onward, you can't distribute them any better and it gets crowded anyway. But it just came to my mind that I could go back to normal aging (I'm on two times slower atm) so that my money farm exhibit animals can breed a little more

Really beautiful pond indeed, and an amazing profile picture! I too like to watch the content creators (but always after checking the new stuff out on my own) to get inspiration.

Wow, congratulations!

Today I finished my African elephant habitat and I really like how it turned out. Of course, it's a big one! There are two shelters, one open to the public and a larger one which can't be visited and helps me hide the tall buildings on the background. The baobabs are meant to be fake trees and I've place a few real trees protected with walls (I've learnt all these small details watching other people's zoos).

I'm putting the zoo on hold during the next days, because I will be playing with the new animals in other zoos, but I will go back to ZARPA soon. I have never shared a pic from above, but the zoo is getting big enough :)

I've started a new zoo a couple of days ago, I actually wanted to continue my franchise zoo but since francise mode doesn't support modded animals I decided to start a new sandbox as the new influx of modded species as well as the new DLC pack really gave me some idea's for a zoo.
I still have to do lots of detailing on some of the buildings and surrounding but I usually do that once I am happy with the overall look of my sections of my zoo.

The entrance building with a giftshop, information room, staff quarters and office spaces.
This my take on the Birmingham Zoo Entrance blueprint in the workshop which I usually use in my zoos, but I wanted a little bit of a bigger building so I made my own based on that blueprint.

@Aramar The map looks really impressive!
@ziggycardon I particularly like your rockwork in the Barbary Sheep habitat :)

I think I managed to keep the finances running, although I "cheated" and put the difficulty back to easy for a while :D I also closed the animal talks, because the guests started to go on pilgrimages through the whole zoo as soon as one of them was about to start. I don't understand it, because I didn't have this crowding issue in this zoo previously and I didn't change the layout at all.

But what those guests really want... No animal talks, no penguins, no exotic, dangerous or impressive other species. They. wanted. souvenirs. o_O

So tomorrow, I'll probably have a first look at the new animals in my "playground" sandbox file before I start habitats for them in this zoo.

Started my first Outdoor Enclosure with a artificial Appearance. But not too artificial. It is a Concrete Island for Seals. So far only the Sides of the Ramp that leads inside are covered with Rocks and a few Plants. There's also Sand in some Areas of the Island. I've planned to add way more Rocks. Especially to the Wall because the Floor of the Indoor Area is sticking trough it. I just don't know yet how to build the Ramps in a Way that it looks good and where exactly to place the Staff Gate

I've finished my Seal Island and absolutely love the new Water Options. Sadly the adult Seals can't use the Ramp to the Indoor Area but the juveniles can which caused the juvenile Seal to go inside and find his new favorite Spot. A small Area that is surrounded with Rocks, filled with Sand and planted with Annona reticulata and Coconut Palms

I need to give my shoulder a rest after playing heavily friday and saturday. Still hurts a bit (I move too little when gaming and have s condition where my shoulder starts hurting). Hopefully I can play tomorrow or the day after, because I can not wait adding the new animals to Unity!

Super cool billboards, both the bus stop and the custom sings!

I spent (after the initial check of what we got) the whole evening with the habitat for binturongs and sun bears. The indoor part (no roof yet) is for the binturong only and walkthrough for the guests, the outdoor area is shared between the binturongs and the bears. I was surprised how much space the bears require, so I couldn't place more foliage. I really like it, maybe I'll reduce the water space a bit because guests are already complaining. I love those animals, the bintus are already a favourite!
