I got my last Steam achievement, then gave away every animal in my franchise zoo for 1CC each. Time for sandbox fun! I'm currently doing research on ancient Rome as I am going to make an ancient Rome park with the buildings as enclosures. I'm super excited about it!!
Some really nice work in the posts above, folks! Fantastic!

Oh I got Zoologist last because it takes so bloody long. I'm wondering if other people earned it pre-DLC. But I've officially hit perfect game with it. Now I will only play in sandbox going forward. But learned a lot and got ideas playing the other ways first, so no complaints.

I don't know what HBB is. I had read the bobbin drum was the enrichment that wasn't researching, but I've always had it, so no issues for me. shrug I can only assume it means it's fixed. I saw someone else get it just the other day too if that helps.
It's an easy achievement, just takes bloody forever. For one thing, you need BANK before you can commit to it since you can't do it in sandbox. I did it in my first and only franchise zoo (the rest I just opened for the achievements and then closed).
Himalayan brown bear - I assume he's referring to a glitch where you can't ever reach Grade 3 food quality for this particular animal. I don't play Franchise though so I can't say for certain.

Today, I had a landscaping binge and started to re-landscape Hope Sanctuary from Challenge Mode with Blueprint buildings and scenery - was fun View attachment 254931View attachment 254932
On day 4 I built a lemur "house". It looks actually more like an aviary.
In total there are 3 different enclosures for 3 different species of lemurs. One is obviously a mod. Therefore I will only show you the front two with the redruffed lemur and the ringtailed lemurs. The climbing frames are not mine, building them myself is somehow not my thing.
I also closed the gaps between some enclosures with foliage.
btw frontier! i looooove the afican grass it looks so amazing
@Fini: I really like the lemur area, it has a really realistic appearance of a still good but not too modern enclosure.
Today I made big progress and achieved to place the underwater tunnel. After watching a YouTube tutorial I tried it as well and didn't turn out that bad and it wasn't even too complicated. But unfortunately I made a mistake in the seal pond and the terrain next to the tunnel is too high, so guests will barely see something. In addition, both, the seal and polar bear pools turned out a bit too large (1600 m² and 2200 m²) in my opinion, so I guess I have to redo it.
That's the disadvantage of building underwater tunnels, once the water is in, you shouldn't remove it, otherwise you have to replace everything again.
I'm still happy for a first result, so here are some pictures of the current state of the seal and polar bear areas:

first small WIP impression of the panorama. The land area of the polar bear habitat is raised a bit, so guest can see them better when wathcing the seals in the foreground. A moat will prevent the bears from a visit in the seal habitat (which would not end well for the seals of course).
Hi LiviaOfRome - thank you for your encouraging comments - I cheated and opened the park as SandBox mode - so as to play with glee and abandon - I deleted nearly all of the buildings and Habitats to terraform.
I'm a Sandbox person.
Thus this allows me to do as I please.
Was having map fatigue (still wanting a Coastal / Sea map) and decided to open it this way to have fun with an already shaped map. The creative heart wants what the creative heart wants. Was a nice change and all of the fabulous Blueprints from the game and workshop to add 'je ne sais quoi' and also because I was very lazy - lockdownunder does this.
Did some fine tuning on the african food court, some decorating and deleted the shared hard shelter of the rhinos and giraffes. Now I need an idea for a new one...
I started a new Zoo a few days ago and have been working on the first habitat since then (for Indian Elephants). The concept of this Zoo is that I will have three worlds (Asia, Africa and America) in the end, a bit like Gelsenkirchen ZOOM has them, but I don't aim at copying the entire zoo. Instead, I will freestyle the habitats and surrounding landscape.
The habitat for the Indian Elephant is loosely based on the one in Leipzig Zoo.
The zoom zoo? I See you are a man of culture aswell.
Also copying it would be a pain, just About half of the animals are actually in the game by now, even though it is tempting.

Only a little progress due to little time but I made the pools smaller and created a "rock color scheme" for the Arctic area, I think it turned quite nice.
