What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I just plopped down the new B&W Ruffed Lemur and goddamn I'm a fan
Mister Lemur seems not amused with his habitat, but I am!

And yes, dear Dev (sorry, saw the name in the middle of the night on twitter and can't remember...) if you read this: Awesome job on the Lemur, can't wait for your next animal!

Hi everyone, so today I started building something nice for the future of the habitat of the Black-tailed prairie dog something very popular in zoos and I am talking about the bubbles for viewing for kids

also! The guests can also enter inside :) I'm so sorry for all the people who already want to see the sea lion's outdoor I have not started bulid it yet but it's in the planning! That I built the bubbles for prairie dog does not mean they are the next animal in the Tauern Animal Sanctuary I hope the sea lion will be next💚

That's a great idea. We have a tunnel and bubble for kids (and the young at heart adults) in our meerkat habitat.

Thanks! I'll do a thread to show it properly once it's all done.
I wish I would have such nice Building Skills. Definitely need to train my Skills a bit because I wasn't able to play for a long Time. Started to completely rebuild my Orangutan Breeding Center in another Area but this didn't last long due to Computer Problems happening again. Luckily they seem to be fixed now, so maybe I can come up with some nice Designs and get better again after such a long Break. Definitely also need to change the Interior of the already finished Enclosure because it's only built in a Way yet to make them happy enough to breed. The Fence has a really nice Design and I like the Rocks at the Edge of the Water. I'll definitely need to use Rocks that way more often

The fence is actually from the Limpopo set. I did a bit more work with the rocks and added some benches and ivy to the viewing area to the back.

Didn't play much yesterday because I was running all over the place (sometimes literally), but I worked a bit in one of my franchise zoos Refugio Felino (Cat Sanctuary).

So, I released all my RRLs and RTLs, except for 1 male ringtail and 1 pregnant female red ruffed. Oh, and the young, which haven't grown up, yet. I want to rebuild the lemur enclosure.

Also, I noticed my gators bred, too, which was nice.

Chavo (the infant puma I had) grew up and began fighting, so I gave him a timeout in the trade center.

Also, I made 2 nearly identical habitats for Bengal tigers. I had 2 cubs from 20 zoos ago that I never got rid of, and so I placed them in the Palacio del Tigre (Machos) side (Palace of the Tiger [Males]). 1 of them grew up, so I moved him (and a new female I adopted) into the Palacio del Tigre (Hembra y Cría) side to breed (Palace of the Tiger [Female and Offspring]).

Also, to spruce up the ugly open area next to them, I built a little coffee shop, with Street Fox Coffee, Missy Good, and Bernie's Bakes. I also added a bunch of giant rhubarb plants (it's my favorite plant to fill up empty spaces. I wish there was another large bush like that, though, that would go great alongside the rhubarb)

I was finally able to sneak in a play session agan! Build the Binturong habitat in Wingburg...

... and started to revamp the beaver habitat that I still don't like too much.
While looking at the Binurongs (climbing fames from the workshop, by the way, I never nuild them myself), I realized they use the frames veeery often. Did the Devs Tweak the behaviour a bit? Binturongs are also hanging from their tail now, even if there are enrichment items in the habitat. It was a real pleassure to watch and gave me a motivation boost to build for as mich animals as I can :D

By the way: From the other side of the shelter guests can look inside, so that they can see the Bintus when it's too cold outside.

After the advice I was given last week about making habitats not viewable from all sides, I'm working that design into Jamestown Zoo's South American section. Having pretty much made most of my habitats fully walkaround it's a bit of a relearning process for me but I have hope it'll make things look more natural. So this is a new section I'm working on, I already showed off Capybara Cove (under construction haha) the other day, but from left to right will be the Giant Anteater, Giant Otter, Baird's Tapir and Jaguar. Leaving the facilities unsightly and undecorated for now because I want to try my hand at my own creations. It leaves them ugly at first, but will eventually turn out my individualistic in the end.

The other side of the new area has habitat barriers but will probably be left alone for now for an eventual European section. Or perhaps something else if enough new animals come to mind.

Also the other day I started up a new zoo with this non-walkaround concept in mind, building it that way from the start is a lot easier. Though it's not pretty to look at (and has ugly facilities for now) I'm learning to do this a new way little by little. So the great advice was definitely appreciated and being put to use.

I did nothing fancy today. Didn't build anything, just managing my Franchise Zoo 😁 I got my first golden panda (from normal parents) and my first perfect pangolin (100% in every stat) Looking forward to adding snow leopards and bongos (which I got from the community challenge)

Nice progress @jcp011c !
You could consider making a dedicated path in front of busy habitats. Like branch out the main path, so people can stand in front of a habitat and watch the animals while the main path is free to walk. A lot of zoos in germany do this. When I'm in game next time I can make a screenshot from some of my habitats from above, to show you what I mean. :)

@markun love your black and white ruffed lemur enclosure! May i ask, would you mind uploading the enclosure (or even just the climbing structures)? I could never build something so nice.
Sure, will need to check the barriers and make sure it uploads properly. Also the climbing structures are based on something someone else made but I have no idea who!
