What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I've started my new project. As you might already know, I love bears and want to have them all. However, I realised that I had never built a zoo which had all the bears. That's my new goal! I also wanted to go for a different map, to challenge myself with non-flat terrain, so I'm going to use the map from the Canada scenario, which I think it's a beautiful map. With all that being said, welcome to Bear Lake Park!

This is a park located in Canada which specialises in bears. They have rescued bears from different zoos or private hands and bears provided by special organisations in order to research more about them and help in their breeding programmes. The park also has other rescued animals and local fauna too.

Started the actual Snow Leopard habitat today. Didn't finish it yet, it will be one of the habitats I'll take a little more time on. But so far it's comming along nicely.

Time to share something. 😁
The last couple of days I made all the new billboards for all 99 habitat animals... I'm crazy now.

The last time I rolled for the Llamas.

Starting to brainstorm an Australia/Islands of Adaptation building. Current plans:
  • Komodo Island
    • Komodo Dragon
  • Galapagos Islands
    • Galapagos Tortoise
  • Madagascar
    • Ring-Tailed Lemur
  • Penguin Islands?
    • African Penguin
  • Australian River (implied walkthrough aviary)
    • Exhibits
    • Platypus
    • Merten's Water Monitor (implied -- will use nile monitor)
    • Freshwater Crocodile? (if used, will imply, probably with spectacled caiman)
Any other suggestions for island animals, especially those with a strong theme of speciation/evolution? Right now possibilities I'm thinking on are Japan (macaque -- probably not) and Carribean (antillean iguana, implied cuban crocodile)

The first enclosure of my zoo is what i would call mostly finished! I might do some more touches here and there in the future, especally on the visitor side, but im honestly to tired to do that today.
This will be just a little sneakpeak, as i want to show it in more detail in my own thread so if you want to see more, you can see it over there :)

Today I completed the entrance area to my newest zoo, including the entrance building and first habitats for Nile monitors, and an African river delta-themed area with Nile lechwe and other compatible species. It has definitely taken me a few more days to create, and I'll still have some polishing up to do, but I could now consider this area at least somewhat 'complete' and move on to the next phase. I'm very pleased with this area, so here are a few highlights!

Thank you for the flowers :giggle:

OT: Is that also the case with you, when you press the "Reply" button that a new page/mask opens?
That wasn't usually the case, when I answered something, because the text I wanted to quote was written right below in the text field.
Jup, got the same. Thought it was an issue with my internet connection but good to know others have the problem aswell

Slowly but surly, the densety for their little forest increases. Not much to show today, mostly did detail work and had to redo a little terraforming, so the path needed to go and when you have a custom fence thats suppoused to be on the path haha fun times
But still, im starting to go places and hopefully this habitat will be finished in 2 or 3 more sessions. To bad that i find the ingame signs for lynx and badger quite ugly, gotta get more creative for my custom signs this time

Reworking this concept; planning on not using lemurs and focusing more on Asian/Oceanian islands -- with the Galapagos Tortoise and African Penguin as a stand-in for the Little Blue Penguin and some sort of other reptile -- maybe the Burmese Mountain Tortoise? Apparently Australia has no native land tortoises.
