What do think is coming to Planet Zoo this month?

There has never been anything other than silence from Frontier regarding future dlc since launch. Steam changed its system so that steamdb no longer gives indications of upcoming dlc - it’s nothing to do with Frontier and applied to all games on Steam.

Those rumours have very little to support them but official info from Frontier (as others have noted) demonstrates at least 2 more packs, probably more, given that they’ve hired new staff specifically for the game.

And….? It’s only just 3 months and the pattern isn’t very well established anyway, certainly not enough to say that it’s particularly late coming at this stage.

Yes
The rumors that support for PZ ends "after the next pack" has been going around since the SA pack, with absolutely no basis, and we've had 4 packs since then. It's just baseless pessimism.

I don't see why frontier wouldn't continue supporting PZ for a long time to come. The possibilities for money are endless with hundreds of zoo animals out there.
Exactly. And I said it to @Gorobai already (german speakers, go support him, finally PZ content without "the end is near" whining and his content is great in general): Never underestimate the financial power of a niché game with absolutely NO competitor. (No Easy Zoo and whatever is no competitor, and even JWE2 und PK is not).

If Frontier won't support the game with PC DLCs for at least another year, I will forever doubt their business decision ;)

18 collections hold red foxes in the UK. 29 hold Scottish wildcats, many have them on display. As I said, quite a few UK zoos have British wildlife on display including those listed to name a few. I have just listed a selection of the mammals they have. Many of those specialising in UK wildlife also have species from other parts of Europe too, many of which were once found in Britain such as bears and wolves.

  • Wildwood in Kent which has wildcats (on display), badgers, red fox, red deer, red squirrel, pine marten, fallow deer, otter, beaver, wild boar and more
  • British Wildlife Centre in Surrey with red fox, badgers, otters, red squirrel, wildcats (on display), pine martens, fallow deer, red deer, roe deer and more
  • New Forest Wildlife Park in Hampshire with wildcats (on display), red fox, badgers, otters, fallow deer, red deer, roe deer, wild boar as well as other more exotic animals like giant otters.
  • Northumberland Country Zoo has fallow deer and wildcats (on display).
  • Welsh Mountain Zoo in North Wales has fallow deer and pine martens.
  • Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian has badgers, wildcats (on display) and muntjac deer (introduced but of course found wild in the UK)

There's even a zoo in Sweden where you can see (in theory, they were sleeping or hiding somewhere when I visited) Scottish wildcats.

I guess seeing things out and about can make them either not very interesting or extra interesting for someone. I have seen wild elk, roe deer, reindeer (technically domesticated but just wandering around the forest or on the road) beaver, foxes, seals, cranes and more. I have seen them in the wild but also in zoos and I really wish I could build a zoo with those animals I have seen. At least a few of them.
Yeah I've been brought up in the countryside, my grandad was a game keeper which is probably why I dont have the same interest in some of these animals for the game as others do. Foxes, badgers, various types of deers ive grown up with them around me. He lived in various places from Yorkshire to Essex to Scotland.

I remember once seeing a programme where some children from a city had never seen a real cow and that baffles me 🤣

Interestingly enough, the roumors are mostly spread by influencers who don't like zoos that much anyway and are usually just eagerly awaiting Planet Coaster 2. At this point, all "the end is near" rumors are just a sign of conflicting interests.

Influencers are just looking for likes and clicks, so they generate click bait content, while it's basically just their opinion, that is not worth more than yours or mine.
Their focus is fully set on getting as much attention as possible, because that is what brings in their money.

edit 14:50: To add, I don't mean this in a negative way.

I do. The whole concept annoys me. 😂

But then, I feel the same way about professional sports - it seems ludicrous to pay people so much to essentially just play a game. Giving them celebrity status is beyond absurd.
There are still plenty who also really enjoy what they are doing. And thats more the content I like to see. But the click baits type of stuff usually only annoy me.

The updates usually don't coorelate to the DLC (with the exception of aquatic/diving). No need to assume a mountain pack in my opinion.
Agreed; it's a highly requested, possibly game-changing mechanic that was probably planned to be implemented in the game for a long time already. I would be highly surprised if it indeed accompanied a mountain pack (or any pack that would benefit by using height mapping, which I can't really imagine). My money is still on a NA pack, though, which could include a number of animals that would also be candidates for a mountain pack.

To be fair, polar bears are closer geographically to north africa than meerkats and african penguins, so there's that.
Now that's what I call a stretch. :D
I think excitingly enough we have still no clue.

But besides from the theme / region of the pack, I'm way more worried about the Update. Do you guys think it will include new shops now? Or is that too big of a thing next to the height map thing? I mean... it's not a new "mechnic" like the vending machines that got a feature focus, though.
