A Zoo set in South AmericaYou want a zoo specifically built in South America? Or a zoo that has a South American section set in Europe?
I didn't know the flamingo feeders work underwater. Do other enrichments also work underwater?
You can even sink them into the terrain too!I didn't know the flamingo feeders work underwater. Do other enrichments also work underwater?
I've never figured out how to do that properly. I'd love to know. You can even sink them into the terrain too!
sinking enrichment items into the ground without free build sucks but the general idea is you have to override the automated terrain edits usually by filling the area with water first.I've never figured out how to do that properly. I'd love to know.
Id say official animals could get you all the way there already. Elephants can stay, cheetah and lion could too in theory but id say tiger and sloth bear/dhole/hyena would be the more sensible options. The giraffe savanna could house the blackbuck, nilgai and water buffalo. The warthog could be anything really, maybe macaque or a series of small mammal exhibits for badger and otter perhapsGot a crazy idea now, turning dallas zoo's Giants of the Savanna into an indian zone. Hoping to include as many suitable offical animals instead of replying on mods for such an area.

Great choices for the animals, thanks!Id say official animals could get you all the way there already. Section? Thats a whole zoo at this pointThis pack was the much needed inspiration boost i needed to go back to PZ. I always wanted to build a nice India section so i'm now planning for it, begining with the animal roster. Since this is likely to be the last DLC i'll be counting mods into this and this is what i have so far:
Bengal tiger (official with remaster version)
Indian leopard (mod)
Fishing cat (mod)
Asiatic lion (mod)
Striped hyena (official with remaster version)
Ratel (official)
Indian wolf (mod)
Sloth bear (official)
Blackbuck (official)
Nilgai (official)
Chital (mod)
Indian elephant
Indian rhinoceros
Hanuman langur (mod)
Lion tailed macaque (official)
Gharial (official with remaster)
Mugger crocodile (no mod for now)
Indian star tortoise (mod)
Indian python (no mod, implied or scenery mod)
King cobra (no mod, implied)
Indian peafowl (official)
Damoiselle crane / Sarus crane (mods)
Painted stork (mod)
Greater adjutant (mod)
Would you guys add something else?
Lol yeah it'll be a mini zoo basically, but if i ever want to expand on that i guess i'll have that map lolSection? Thats a whole zoo at this point
You could add the pelican, bar headed goose and maybe a duck or two and make a kickass waterbird aviary with the others.
Or you could add markhor, takin, griffon and/or cinereous vultures and grab the grey langur for like a himalayan foothills area
What if it's a zoo that has a good budget but maybe they can't rebuild the classic habitats into more naturalistic habitats, so they just update them to look as natural as possible despite the limitationsI want to start a new zoo, I've been working on the same zoo for about two years and I'm getting bored of it and would like to start from scratch with my new knowledge.
I've always been a big fan of old school city zoos but I also like big natural mixed habitats and large houses. I kind of want to combine these ideas but I'm not sure what the best way to do this is. Also coming up with a list of species to use is hard, I often want to try use almost all of them.
Can anyone help me with inspiration?![]()
I mean you could certainly get all these to come together. Yeah City zoos usually dont have the biggest enclosure due to space problems, but you could go the route of the zoos reducing their animal collection over the years and combining enclosure together for one species in recent years. Like maybe the old predator building previously had all sorts of big cats, but now its just lions and perhaps one or two small species like sandcat and meerkat. Or an old ape house which in the past was home to gorillas, chimps and orangs but the zoo deceided to focus only on one species these daysI want to start a new zoo, I've been working on the same zoo for about two years and I'm getting bored of it and would like to start from scratch with my new knowledge.

Right, but you also can't edit terrain around paths, yet I've seen people sink enrichment feeders like the forage box into the ground to hide the wooden edges. You place a big piece of path first, then put the enrichment piece on top of it, and then it won't affect the terrain as path trump terrain edits.
For the forage box example I actually think they are building the terrain up around the box rather than sinking the box in at least thats how I do it. However in order to do that specific example you dont use paths but rather water which stops all terrain editing whilst still allowing for not flat surfaces or just use mods.Right, but you also can't edit terrain around paths, yet I've seen people sink enrichment feeders like the forage box into the ground to hide the wooden edges.
