What GPU do you have in your PC?

Sooooo... Had to pull the trigger on a 42" 4K TV/Monitor for $289 (?!?!?) Crazy deal.

Found out my 970 wouldn't really run high/ultra like I like in 4K, so spent another $629 on a 980 Ti - yeah, probably didn't think that one through too well

Oh sheesh... don't say that. I got a 4k TV. Got a 970. In process of upgrading my CPU/system to an I7-6700k.. gaming media pc. I know I'm going to try 4k on the TV as soon as it is built.. Not sure I'd go $629us on a 980ti though.. Vive VR preorder is about $800us. I may get an urge to splurge. Wife isn't going to be happy ... caution is in order.

Someone have cooling problems? What cooling problems? ;P
No this isn't my system... haha

Hey, don't get me wrong, the 970 looked decent on the 4K, most things on medium some high... I actually upgraded my living room PC with the 970 where I play the odd "console 'ish" game and stream... so that was kinda my excuse for upgrading... and if I'm honest, I did have a few beers that night I ordered the 980 if I recollect correctly...

Does it hover at 100%?

I've raised this one from the sleeping dead, as we now see the new GPU's coming in to consumers, and I will change my 980TI with a 1080 FE card. It would be nice to see how many commanders who will do the change. Also so FD can quickly see the over view.

I'm trying to decide whether a 1070 would be ok for me or just say sod it and get the 1080.
I'm currently using my old GTX660 in my new i7 PC @ 1680x1050 which runs well with most settings high/ultra.
But when I get a new monitor, probably @ 1920x1080 will the 1070 run this with all settings at the maximum?
Anyone out there with a 1070 running at the highest setting at this screen res or higher?

If the hardware reporter updates when new hardware is added then Frontier would already know what cards players are using....

R9 280X running across 3 monitors in 5760x1080. I have turned down the planet details a bit, so it gives me decent fps.

When the next generation GPU's comes out i'm getting one of those, so I can run everything in ultra with smooth fps :)

I have upgraded to a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G

Expensive but worth every penny :)

Some first impressions with the 1070, different resolutions but may help :)

News of new Titan's releasing in August today. Unless you have reason's other than Elite Dangerous don't replace your high end card with a mid-range.

Although I only got my R9 390 last year I will be upgrading but only when the 'Vega' cards are released. I want the best possible DX 12 card I can buy and as Nvidia still seem to have major issues with any form of async computing the 1080's don't interest me at all. Shame as a large number of software houses are already thinking about the updated consoles and their hardware which will be running (most likely) the RX480 chip or a version of it optimised for 4K 60FPS/VR. Given that this will sit on a custom designed/built motherboard it should be interesting to see just how much performance they can leverage from it.

Wow. You lot have a lot of floaty cash. I just recently upgraded to an R9 390 from a R9 280x and that was a major decision based on the 280x artifacting all over the place forcing my hand.

Given the naming conventions employed by Nvidia, I'd never describe a 1080 as "mid-range." The 1070 would be the top-end of such a classification, in my book.

My Nvidia GTX980ti is on it's way back to EVGA as part of their Step-Up program. A nice shiny new GTX1080 Founders Edition should be here next week :)
