What GPU do you have in your PC?

GTX 1080 here. Gets most of its workout in Oculus with VR on High and some settings turned down. (shadows, blur). I value constant framerate performance over visuals and honestly everything is just fuzzy enough in VR that cranking visuals makes little difference to me.

Though i'm starting to get some crashing in Elite with it. Black screen, fan going crazy etc. I'm trying to narrow down if I need to exchange the card or if something else is the culprit. Already wiped my system and reinstalled the essentials.

Bought gtx970 in January and now 10xx series released

But i'd wait a year to see how good\bad 10xx will perform.

2 GTX 980Ti Hybrids. Never reach temperatures above 60 degrees. Played this game at 4k everything on max settings. No AA, 1.0X supersampling.

Eh? The game is very well optimized. I was getting 60fps constant on a GTX 660. You don't need a high end card at all
With a 960 I get 80-120fps (capped at 120), with an i5-3570

The graphics are not "complex" compared to many many games thesedays so it's no surprise really

Asus Strix GTX960 2GB on a 2009 MacPro running Win7 under bootcamp.

Playing at 1440p on an Apple cinema 27' display, all settings ULTRA, FPS set to 60 max, synch on. minimum I get is 25FPS at engineers bases. 45-60 on planets. 60 everywhere else. All completely playable, so have left the settings at ultra. a 4GB card would no doubt get better fps at the bases (I was getting 35+ on a 1080 display), but heck - it was a £160 card on a 7 year old machine! I'm happy with it.

You forgot to mention what resolution you use.
1024x768 is quite different than 1920x1080 which again isn't comparable with 2560x1440 or 3840x2160...

AMD R9 380x. Upgraded from my HD6950. Wanted to get a GTX 970, but alas, I'm on a budget.

The 380x runs strong at 1920x1080. My settings are custom, not quite maxed out but close. I get a little dip in framerate sometimes around stars and planets, but mostly I'm pinned at the vsynch rate of 60 fps.

I've updated the numbers, but I can't upload it to the forum? can't we upload pictures anymore? well then I just need to d it from my Imagur account and that I can only do from my home PC, so you need to wait.

However uts not a huge change, 3 GTX1080 and GTX 1070 added, I also added the new GTX1060 that is arriving soon(TM).
The new AMD line will also be added when we seen them in the ED community.

Regarding where the new line will be placed, I'm going from the 980TI to the 1080 GTX and that is still a huge boost for me.
With the new thermal control I guess that when I put it under water it will give me the edge to OC the card.
