What Happened to ED after 3.0 Update ?

After Beyond landed i started doing high paying cargo runs and courier missions for the next 48 hours (Friday evening up today's morning) i haven't been interdicted at all.Not a single shot of laser. What happened ? where are the NPC pirates ? .Also my son which started playing on xbox hasn't been interdicted expect for 2 times.
Has the ED became too easy?

Please don't complain about not being interdicted often enough :). I was sick of being interdicted every 5 minutes by a blooming eagle whilst I was flying around in my corvette ranked deadly. I would much rather be interdicted less frequently but by a pirate that is a worthy opponent and matched to the level of ship you are flying and rank you have achieved.

Depends where you're doing cargo runs and in which systems. I'd guess.

I took cargo missions saying in the description that hostile ships might be send against me.Before 3.0 update i was being interdicted by capable npc pilots even in high security systems. Now i am not interdicted even once in 24 hours of game play time.I think that this is too easy
I am triple elite in rank and i expect a little action

I was interdicted last night, I had one relic in cargo bay.
Not touched while carrying nothing .

I guess NPC looking at inventory first

First 24 hours of 3.0, flew to the Pliedes sector, loaded up in 90 million credits worth of long haul cargo runs back to the bubble, 18 haulage missions in total, 5 destinations. I'd say around 10+ interdiction's over a few hours, all of them easily evaded in a T9. Seems to be the same as it ever was.

Hauling in ED has always been easy, especially if you filter your routes for high security systems, lets keep it that way.

where have all the long range missions gone? They have all vanished, even flew out to Sothis and Fehu to see if anything was available, zilch, all back to sub 15LY routes.

Maybe the OP was flying through high security systems, I get interdicted all the time when running high value missions.

From my point of view the numbers of interdictions have risen. I do quite a lot of cargo and passenger transfer missions and the interdictions have become around 50% more frequently. And they can also happen very close to a planet.

I’m getting interdicted regularly, even with no cargo. The rate feels about the same as before. It’s just rng as usual.

Commodities are not required for engineers any more, and those inadvertent commodity rewards that stayed on board because you forgot to sell them were magnets for NPCs in 2.4 and before. I am guessing the removal of those has resulted in diminished NPC activity. (They have been removed ?)

Exactly this. The entire NPC interdiction mechanic is a broken joke of a time sink anyway. Submit. Charge. Run. Over and over. It was neither well thought nor engaging and as a result was a poorly implemented mess.

I would rather it not happen at all, frankly. Not because I want "easy" mode (its not as if escaping is HARD to begin with) but because its literally just a time wasting frustration and absolutely nothing more.

Ahh, the only reliable underlying mechanic in the game: Low effort RNG.
