Whilst out scouting systems I very nearly docked at a port that appeared in the system view as completed, but cancelled the landing request as there appeared to be a slight warning on the pad number indicator (can't remember what it said now, just some extra text).
When I flew back out of the station I realised that the building platform was still deployed a few kilometers away, (I had not noticed it's presence first in the system map, the nearly completed Orbis station seemed usable).
I then tried to dock at the building platform, just to find out what percentage of completeness the system architech had got to, but I was refused docking permission.
So I carried on with my scouting mission around the area to map out other systems, now I've stopped for a lunch break.
Am I right in assuming that if I had docked at the nearly completed port, something bad may have happened?
Am I also right in assuming that if I had docked at the building platform something equally bad or worse might have happened, such as me inadvertantly 'sniping' someone else's colonisation project by mistake? Because that really is the last thing I would want to do to someone.
